Jon, I will never not be in awe of your ability to get back up from a down like a sack of spuds slam... 😮 You know it's a bad one when my wife hears the noise I've just made and calls upstairs to me to ask if I'm alright!
Rippin Jon. I love the old skool decks as I see little glimpses from the past. A Jeff Kendall board would be appropriate for this time of year, the pumpkin graphic one 😉
Great video Jon. I just got a winkowski dope planet and it rides beautifully. I pulled the trigger after seeing you ride it in a previous video. Im an old school skater (50 years old) and mostly ride pools and transition. Keep on shredding and putting out content!
the jaguar, the two eightballer and the spaced out are also winkowski decks and they are identical, and i have them all, its my favorite shape of all time...awesome shape the cruise missile II concave and very nice to skate....i skate one as an surfskate with yow meraki trucks, bronson raws and hawgs fatties 78a...and another one as an regular skateboard...awesome both..
The Sector 9 symmetries riminded myself of the SS Miller reluctant until The Scary Kat Natas with a little mellow symmetries allowing some interesting reluctance
Another board you may like is the heroin curb crusher. It's got a wicked 80s shape but with modern concave. I still prefer the winkowski but I'm stoked to try a curb crusher next.
I wanted to avoid this vid but I watched. In 1989 I had already had an Alva Fred Smith Punk 2, Ken Fillion Pumpkin deck and Mike Vallely Elephant deck. All ridden with Indy trucks and slimeballs. The reason I avoided this, this deck was the exact same as a Fazio supermarkets Variflex deck my friend had and I never wanted to admit his garbage board had far better concave than my pro decks. This Jag deck is a direct model of that Variflex board, with better mats
Oh it is so cool they put the wheel wells Big fan I was so disappointed when they started doing away with those it would be cool to see if they could do this in a everslick with wheel wells
The thing I remember most about this board is, Airwalk prototypes - Agnew Middle school in Mesquite Texas and Town East mall and doing my first 21 step acid drop at the JC Penny side stair case. The acid drop was in 3 parts so do not tell me how this must be a record. I know what we had and what we did. I hated this board coming out because it validated how I felt my 80s powell and Alva decks were junk
@@JonBishopSkate Thanks! Is that a smooth bowl, like skatepark concrete, or a bit rougher, like regular concrete? Can't decide between 99a and 97a...finding thw right wheels is so tricky...
