@user-ds3rk5md3n You can. May be best to dial it down real low while you are there, instead of having to turn it on and off so much. Or, put it on a timer.
Nice! I am thinking about installing the Santafe Advance 90. I have metal duct work that splits my house in half. Would you recommend attaching duct work to the outlets of the 2 outlets on the dehumidifier and getting it to hard to reach areas?
I first bought a refurbished Santa=Fa Compact and they had to give me a different one 3times and finally a new one in 2018 and guess what April 2021 it broke down again. I think I have to give up on this brand. THEY lasted about 2 years. Every time it was something different.
@@TannerFlowers Hi, They ended up giving me a new one SEP/2018 and that broke down this season [[ water doesn't come out. I bought a Sears a long time ago that lasted 15yrs with no breakdowns.
Very well done I am in Missouri and we had a crawlspace done very similar to what you used as the example in this video only we had ours paint it with an anti-mold paint also and with that dehumidifier the same one you used in the video it still looks like new down there and that was in 2018
Hi Tanner, we have a santa fe advance 2 in our unfinished basement. Awesome machine!! You said the only maintenance for these machines is to change the filter and clean out the hose and pump, which we do at minimum twice per year. Do the coils need to be cleaned at any point? If so, how would you suggest that be done? Thanks!!
I have a Santa Fe Advance 2 It is a great unit. I have had to send it to the factory for repair but they paid for shipping both ways and have gone over and beyond their warranty!
And that is why I have always stayed loyal. When you install as much of anything, mechanically operating, as we do these dehumidifiers, you are bound to encounter problems from time to time. But any time, and I mean any time, in more than 12 years of installing them, they have never left one of my customers hanging. And that says a lot to me! I appreciate you commenting too Rob.

Hey Tanner! I have a Santa Fe Advanced 2 that’s been running for about 3 years. The drain lines are clean, but it’s starting to leak at the front left corner, right under the air filter. Have you seen this happen?
Same thing has happened to me and now I dont feel like it is working properly anymore. Did you find out any info on this? At least I got to watch a TF video researching.
Ok i think i have the answer, and tanner may find this useful too. The drain line has to have a p-trap or drain trap (loop in hose) to prevent the unit from sucking air through the drain hose. It has a natural tendency to do that while the fan is running because it creates a negative back pressure. With that said, I had a drain trap on mine but it could have possibly also been related to the end of my hose being on contact with a full condensate pump on the verge of floating its switch, but not quite for a period of time.
