Thanks for doing this one, and I agree with your likes / dislikes, especially the rear blinker color makes no sense, just make them amber for goodness sake. 🙄

My dislikes : hard elbow rest on the doors and middle console, impossible to open/close sunroof & windows with the remote control
@edsgarage001
@edsgarage001 Год назад
I actually don't mind the armrests, I find they have just the right amount of padding. But you can open up the windows if you hold down the unlock button on the remote. You just can't close them again without getting into the car.

1 dislike: Cameras cannot be ON while driving. 2. dislike: turn signals are low -on the bumper. 3 Dislike: to change windshield wipers you need to do a trick. 4: dome lights buttons not lit (2021 and 2022) (not sure about 2023). 5th dislike: Exhaust pipe is only 1. 6th: 3 driving modes, 3 different themes, BUT only 2 are available. 7th: There is no way to turn off completely all the lights while on contact or idling.
@edsgarage001
@edsgarage001 Год назад
Thx for the comment . Cameras not being on is a safety regulation. Turn signals lower on the bumper is not an issue. You'd have to be within about 4 feet to not see the turn signals... However they SHOULD be amber instead of red. The windshield wipers are like that in a lot of cars now. It actually helps a lot for aero efficiency believe it or not . Never noticed the dome light thing, thanks, I'll check it out. Agree with the single exhaust pipe thing ... Not sure what you mean that only 2 themes are available. You can actually choose whichever one you want, independently of the drive modes (in the vehicle settings).
@romantashevRT
@romantashevRT Год назад
@@edsgarage001 agree for the wipers:). For the themes: you have 3 themes, right. But when you change the driving modes only 2 are availables. Red for sport, and White for Smart and Comfort.

Oh ok I see what you mean. Yeah, I always thought was weird too.

@@romantashevRT i have a 2021, 4 modes, 3 styles. (Technically 5 modes, you can turn off differential, so wet/mud tractions. Comfort, smart, snow, sport, DIFF OFF) you can permanently set 1 theme, which i chose Blue. (red, blue, white). Camera stays on under 10mph, but you would get weird watching it going faster= pointless. Lights are day lights. on all day. My biggest gripe is the charging pad. its useless really. USB way faster, and your cell gets hot in the pad! should be a blank slot for wallets/keys/phone. But the car has far more Pros, and the DC Turbo, is amazing on the HWY!
@romantashevRT
@romantashevRT Год назад
@@coltoncyr2283 I plan to make on a 3D printer a insert for the wireless charging pad, so it can me used for storage..keys..etc.

No more factory orders in the UK (RHD market), just stock and what’s already in build.

1:47 Great video, man. I didn’t know Hyundai made a hood bug deflector. …can’t find it in the US accessory catalog. Any way we could get a part number?

Hey thx! Yeah I don't think they sell them in the USA... But the Canadian part number is: S2H24AP001

Does that mean good savings on a 2023 Limited or Calligraphy since its due for a refresh? I am looking at both AWD, 44 and 46 grand

Possibly.... But with the shortages, probably not

Good video. My dislike is the turbo in this trim. Turbos are bad.
@edsgarage001
@edsgarage001 11 месяцев назад
Thx for the comment! Turbos aren't as bad as they used to be though. These are run at low pressure for longevity and you don't need high octane fuel either.

I have 2021 version. Rear shock is leaking. Car under warranty. No new shock available oem or aftermarket. Its not manufactured yet 2 years after release. I am driving a car with busted suspension. If i get in to accident i am definitely contacting lawyer regarding this. It's unacceptable for manufacturer to not have parts available. Shocks do not use microchips so you can't blame it on shortage
@edsgarage001
@edsgarage001 Год назад
Sorry to hear of the troubles... But actually, It's not just chips that are short. Chips were the main problem about a year ago. Now it's everything. There's huge part suppliers in Russia and Ukraine that are shuttered or blocked due to the war. Plus worldwide shipping is in chaos right now too. The part number for the rear shocks is 55307s2ea0 .. searching for that online I found several places with stock. Chat with your dealer, be kind and know that it's not their fault that the part is backordered. They have no control over that.

Let me get this right, with 5 things you don’t like, having a USB Outlet near a cup holder is one of your top 5, but not having a spare tire on the AWD MODEL does not make your top 5 list.
@edsgarage001
@edsgarage001 Год назад
Yes that's correct Spare tire is overrated. How many people can actually safely change a spare tire these days? I know I can, and clearly you can... But I also know my 84 year old mom can't, and I know most people probably wouldn't do it "safely" Besides, how often does a tire blow out? It's great more likely to just leak air from a nail or screw.... Using the supplied tire pump is WAY easier, safer and frankly more convenient. Especially more convenient if it's pouring rain or your on the side of a busy highway. On top of all of that, the car comes with 5 years of road side assistance.

@@edsgarage001 If an older or weaker person cannot change the wheel, they can be helped by someone else. The other option (had to have this once) was a raised tow to a garage for fixing - as you can't tow 4x4 in the normal way, and many people do not carry the right size replacement tyre. Mine were 2-day order! Having said that, my PHEV SantaFe Premium (base model) has a spare wheel as standard ~ in the UK market. On my previous car, I actually bought a spare wheel to carry with me on long journeys (UK to Italy - 2.5k kms each way)

I'm 43 and fit... I would MUCH rather use a pump. I'd also sooner just repair the leak. I've even done a video on how to do it. I've been off road in my hummer h3, racked up thousands of km on dirt and rocks, and go places only a properly built vehicle can go. Most tire flats are due to simple punctures and are far easier to pump up or fix then to swap out. So that's my opinion and I'm sticking with it
@herrtomas6729
@herrtomas6729 Год назад
@@edsgarage001 my tyre was destroyed by a large item penetrating it (large bolt) and could not be fixed with the pot of magic liquid. I’d agree with much of what’s been said, but why not carry a spare AND the pump and repair liquid? Easy them.
@edsgarage001
@edsgarage001 Год назад
By repairs, I mean using plugs.. not the liquid But yes, for my off-road vehicle I do indeed carry a spare. Leaving out the spare and jack on a vehicle like the Santa Fe though, means a bit of extra storage space and a bit of weight reduction. Ultimately if you really want to carry a spare, then by all means.... But I can't be mad at the company for not including one. There are a lot of things that can leave you stranded, but in my 27 years of driving, I've never had a tire blow out or a bad enough puncture that I couldn't just pump it up. Granted there's probably going to be a time that it happens. But then, there's also going to be times when you have TWO flats. (It's happened to me twice! 🤣). And for those times, a pump is a life saver. A flat that can be pumped back up is probably like 50 times more likely then a big puncture or blow out.

Actually the Tucson and the Santa Fe both look awful. But the Tucson looks worse.

Haha.... You're certainly entitled to your opinion. But the general consensus is in disagreement.
