Santana didn't audition to spite Rachel btw. She specifically auditioned for her _understudy_ which many seem to forget. If anything Rachel feels threatened by Santana but forgets that Santana isn't exactly the same as when they were in high school specifically their sophomore and junior year.
True, Santana auditioned because she's still confused about what she wants in life. She may have done it to piss off Rachel but that was not the main reason
Defending Kurt and Blaine from Karofsky will always be my favorite. Just the way she stares down the school’s biggest bully and somehow gets away with it. She created this tough girl from the bad side of the tracks image to become more intimidating, and it worked. The rage you see in Santa’s eyes was definitely not fake though.
Not a bad list but I honestly thought the “Rumor Has It/Someone Like You” performance would have been the #1 moment rather than just being an honorable mention. That performance is widely considered to be one of the best performances from Glee (not just because of Amber & Naya’s singing voices) but because of Naya’s acting in the scenes that lead up to the performance, in the performance itself, and the scenes that follow the performance. Those series of scenes shown together one right after another really showcased Naya’s acting and is considered one of the best performances that featured Santana. In the scene just prior to the performance Santana just found out a political ad was going to run exposing her sexuality publicly to everyone who will see it (the political ad was a part of a smear campaign against Sue). For context earlier in the episode where the “Rumor Has It/Someone Like You” performance is in Santana gets outed in school by Finn and him outing her in school inadvertently was used as ammunition against Sue which meant Santana was going to be outed on a wider scale because the political ad was going to run within the congressional district (so thousands would be seeing it). At the time Santana was still struggling to come to terms with her sexuality (she wasn’t publicly out but she was privately dating Brittany). So throughout the “Rumor Has It/Someone Like You” performance you can clearly tell (due to Naya’s acting) how emotional Santana was about the fact that she was going to be outed on such a large scale. In the scene right after the performance Santana jumps off stage, yells at Finn, and then slaps Finn because him outing her in the school hallway ended up making her the target of a political ad.
the scene where santana goes after kurt shouldn't be on there, naya said herself she hated it and she kept having to apologize to chris because those were his insecurities, it was ryan murphy being spiteful because chris was getting attention so he wrote a bunch of chris's insecurities. they had to film it over and over because chris was crying, they both hated that
I looooveee your reaction so much!! You should react to these Blaine songs, he's killing it! santana’s rant to kurt is literally one of the worst scenes of glee. she could’ve called him out, but she shoudnt have ended him talking about his appearance and personality, it was a bully move, not a badass move
I blame the writers for that tbh. I know that Santana could be mean but I think it's out of Santana's character to do that. Rumors said that the writers had something against Chris(Kurt) that's why they called him out using Naya's character
and she said while shooting the scene she had apologized to chris multiple times because he felt bad but she had to do it because it was written for her character
@@romeespartinez841 I mean, she insulted Finn's appearance repeatedly and in detail, especially his weight (which we and she knew he was insecure about). She made fun of Sam's lips, too, and those are just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are more examples out there. It's completely in character for her to resort to low blows and to bully people. I like Santana a lot but that's a huge flaw of hers for sure.
@@rachelr4126 no I meant Santana won't do that to a friend. Sure she could have done that to anyone but not her friend. Kurt just said it's not gonna be good but he never attacked their personality. Santana would only do that to a friend if they did something horrible like when Rachel slapped her and she started to steal the show or when Quinn stole the head cheerleader title from her and she beat her up. Roasting Kurt in the hallway because he said something she didn't like just doesn't make any sense.
Rachel was a straight B word though. She was always selfish and self-centered and it only got worse as she got older. I was glad whenever Santana read her like a book. Also, Santana didn't go for Rachel's part, she auditioned to be the UNDERSTUDY. Rachel just couldn't accept that Santana was just as good as, if not better than, her.
