If ever yr fed up with life & world getting you down, just stick this Masterpiece on & it will take you too another place, like an out of body experience.Dont need drink & no drugs.Just you,him & his guitar. ❤️
As a young musician- a drummer by souls passion, i always instinctively drew upon thus song as a canticle of love. First to God. Next to the woman my heart dreamed of to cherish in some future. My wife came unexpectedly as a gift from God. The song yet remains my love ballad for my God.
I saw the 73 yr old Carlos last year, I am 69. Probably the best concert I have ever seen and I have seen many. He played almost 3 hours flawlessly, no opening act, no back up,. It was as if I was a teenager again. Long live Carlos Santana.❤
The Master at work. I saw him play this live. It's the only time my wife has seen me cry. This song has been a part of my life for 50 years. Thank you Mr Santana.
Only Santana??? PLEASE!!😅 I like Santana. He developed a very unique sound, Latin rock. However, as a guitarist, he's highly overrated! Let's keep it real!
I danced to this at my Senior prom in '73 with my future bride. I lost her last year. It still breaks my heart to hear it. We saw him 7 times together. Carlos is the man! 🎶 🎸🎶
Years and years... I always have goosebumps listening to this spectacular piece! Every single note, the emotions, the blending of instrumentations.. I'm in awe!
My late husband’s favourite song. He passed in May 2022 of COPD. He opted for MAID after an exacerbation left him unable to walk. I played this song for him before he passed. I miss him desperately.
Also sorry for your loss,!my uncle just passed 2 weeks ago, he also loved this song I played this at his wake, and on way to veterans cemetery! R I P uncle!

This may be the greatest song ever written and performed by a true master of the guitar. Loved by millions around the world, we are so grateful for you and how you have enrichened our lives and we thank you, Carlos.
Always wanted to lay on a Mexican beach and hear that gorgeous song. Finically did it in Cozumel. Carlos is the best guitarist in the world. Saw him in Balboa Park in San Diego in 1975. When my husband and I married we had 2 of the same album of his! Had he lived we would have been married 50 years. Never to old for Santana!!
Sorry to hear about hubby but sounds like you would have share some beautiful significant memories with Carlos' tunes to accompany! All the best, Santana lives on baby!
My hero Devadip Carlos Santana i fell in love with your rythm when my father took me to the Woodstock movie.I was eleven years old.when i heard samba patti i cried.Abraxas was the first Santana album i got for my birthday.I have grown up with you,Gregg Rillie,Matraya Michael Shrieve,Armando Peraza,Joze Chepito Areas,David Brown and all the other saints that have accompanied you throughout the Santana crusade. Im now 62.And I'm still crying with Samba patti,Europa,Toussant L'overture, incident in Neshabur and many other masterpieces that you and your great bands of musicians have created.May God bless you for giving us the pleasure of your devine music. I'm
I’m almost 70 years old now and have listened to Carlos since I was VERY young! He’s as good, if not better, than he was back then imo! Going to see him in concert in a month from now 👍🤗
I can remember over 50 years ago, I bought a brand new Fender Strat and was trying to play this song in my bedroom as a kid. Thank you Carlos for our inspirations!!!
I'm a believer. I love the Lord my God and I love all the beauty He has created and inspired, no matter what form it takes. In the realm of music, I have never felt more alive than when I'm listening to Carlos Santana. I hear his beautiful music, I feel the the passion, the emotions so clear and pure, but most of all the love pouring out of him, and by extension, his guitar. and it's as if God is speaking to me, to all of us through him, through his guitar. I have always loved and been touched by music, of many genres. I played classical piano for many years myself, so I appreciate and respect the musicians, the vocalists, the discipline and all that goes into making it happen. In my opinion, Mr Santana is on a whole nother level above anything else I've ever heard. He is special, he is one of the chosen, he is gifted and blessed! I was blessed enough to see him once at the Masonic Temple, Detroit Michigan. I can't remember the exact year but it was in the late 70s early 80s, I went to that concert with my brother his girlfriend my younger sister and a bunch of all of our friends we took up a whole roll in the top row of the second from the top tier, and I'll never forget because we were all standing up dancing and having a blast! The people behind us started yelling sit down, sit down! We told them no, stand up! Stand up! Then turned around to face the music again and I couldn't believe it, Santana had the spotlight up on our row, and he was pointing right at us! It was an awesome moment, one of the best memories I have from that time in my life! Santana has always been my number one, all time favorite and always will be! What I wouldn't give to be able to see Santana one more time, what a blessing that would be! Thank you Mr Santana for that wonderful memory, and for all the years you've blessed us with your most excellent, unique and beautiful music! I will keep you in my prayers always, sending much love and many blessings your way! 😇XO🙏XO✝️XO💖
i have heard this a thousand times and every time it feels like i have just discovered it. the sheer exhilaration is addictive. this is one of the best pieces of music ever. just listen.
The first few notes...you KNOW it's Carlos...another iconic song & another great one from the 70s=80s...Latin Rock? One could call it that...how about his own genre, Like many others who created a sound like NO other human can...Love some of THAT SANTANA...
Carlos and his band were the “epitome” of deep enchantment… strange love… and a fiery spirit that led you down to your next phase in life. A true treasure to always be remembered!,,,😊
Carlos Santana will be a landmark in my life forever. As a skinny 17 year old gringo I found him at the Filmore East and as a gray 67 year old my appreciation continues to grow. Gracias, Carlos.
Carlos is the greatest of all time. There are many talented guitarists who can play the instrument, but nobody can make the guitar sing from the heart like he can. And a wonderful, warm person too. I had the pleasure of speaking with him when my son was shooting a music video of him in Vegas in 2014. Carlos came over and introduced himself to me, and told me that we all have the capacity to commit seven miracles every day. The world would be a much better place if there were more people with his heart and soul.
💐🦋🦋🦋 Master Carlos... this is a song I have been listening to almost every day for years - THANK YOU for being here - greetings from Poland - Maria 🦋🦋🦋💐🍀⭐
Saw him in concert in Richmond, VA a few months ago....he and they were wonderful!!!! I grew up with him and can never get tired of his wonderful guitar!!! I'm 68 and his guitar is still the series I have ever heard!!!
Love this song, it makes me think of the beautiful skies, sun, flowers and all the beautiful things that God has created even Santana 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤❄️☃️🌅🐋🍂🛏️🥰 ect.
My favorite tune of all time's, so sweet it touched my heart the first time I heard and😮 still does 😢first me it's a song of love without words🎉❤ it's a song you could send to someone one you love and let them wonder what you really would like to say but can't 🙏🙌😂🎉❤"Samba pa Ti"
THIS MAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE FIRST TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE ROCK MUSIC HALL OF FAME , IN MY VERY HUMBLE OPINION . LONG AFTER EDDIES MUSIC FADES THIS MANS' MUSIC WILL LIVE ON . SOOO SENSUAL AND EMOTIONAL..🎼🎻🎶 THANK YOU CARLOS FOR BEING A PART OF MY LIFE ...
You think?! I have been listening to SANTANA since High School (70's)... The days of LPs and the days we used to have group posters (from the LP's inserts) in our college dorm rooms...All of his LP Album Covers had only one name in BIG bold: SANTANA...Back then a lot of folks used to think He was Puerto Rican. When you walked in "Spanish Harlem" back in the day? SANTANA and Hector Lavoe was all you used to hear...
This was the song that was played for my fathers services when he passed away. It’s so spot on for my pops. Makes me cry and then as the song goes on it picks up and makes me smile cuz I feel his presence and remember all the good times I had with him. I’m so lucky to have such a great Dad ❤ miss u papa
The one and only Carlos Santana. Are you kidding me? I am so tired I can't write. I have loved him all my life. Just one of best guitarist 🎸 ever!!! It is now 5:17 in the morning. September 3, 2023 What muscians. 👏 👏 👏 👏 🙏❤️🌎🕊🎶🎵
I consider myself a good Guitar Player; I can play many much more difficult themes, but this song... But when I play this song (alone in my room or at parties), always makes me cry. as simple as it sounds, took me years to actually understand how BEAUTIFUL and well written it is, the phrasings, melody, harmony, motives.... such a Masterpiece.
congratulations on wanting to play like Santana...he's the best for finding emotions you didn't know you had...Europa written by him and done by Gato...OMG! one of my favorites of all time...
I first heard this song when I was in high school. It was the most incredibly powerful song I had ever heard. In all my life, I have never been without this song and I'm now 66.
I was 11 and sent away for 10 8track tapes for a penny. When I got them, I heard Caravansary for the first time and feel in love with blues, Santana, and MUSIC. I LOVE HOW NO WORDS say so much!!! 💜🌹👍
Greatest make-out song of all time. Takes me back to high school when it first came out (guess I'm aging myself) But you had to look for that special girl to dance real close. God those days were so special.
My dad introduced me to Santana, my entire life have listened to him. As I got older (I’m now 24) this song never fails to make me tear up, so full of soul 🥺🥺🥺
@Carlos santana🎶 I’m from San Bernardino Cali. You are number one as far as music and style. I never got tired of watching the awards you have gotten. You deserve them all. You were at the Yamava casino in San Bernardino in February.. I couldn’t see you because I didn’t have the money. I’m 82 yrs old. But if u come around again I don’t care how much it cost.. I’m going. I’m already saving for ur next concert.
Yes he is!! He's the very 1st musician I saw in concert!! Wow I just realized that was 40 yrs ago!! I was 15 yrs old & dropped some purple micro dot that night! I thought I died & went to Heaven!! Viva Carlos Santana!!🎸🎼🎸❤
Music is so subjective. What is the criteria for this list. Speed, popularity, longevity?? Slide players hard to beat the Trucks Kid. See what I mean? I respect your choice just wondering.
ILL BE 75 IN ONE WEEK SAW SANTANA in side DIAMOND HEAD CRATER in HAWAII . I was stationed at PEARL HARBOR. on the USS RENSHAW 499. Back then Carlos had a huge Afro IT WAS 1968 they blew me away then and I STILL dig his music till this day.
Back when I was in my twenties..anytime I was feeling down..I would put the headphones on and listen to this song...it washed my blues away..and still does to this day..THX Carlos..fell in love with your music when Woodstock came out..
When I was a young girl my best friend introduced me to Santana...so grateful to have their music in my life. This version of Samba Pa Ti is simply stunning!
I think my favourite guitar solo of all time. Carlos goes out on tangents, but hits the chord changes PERFECTLY - sometimes hitting the note on the fret, sometimes bending up to it... perfection.
I got a girl at the dancing floor, right when this song was brandnew... she's my wife now for...decades. Thank you Carlos, that dance helped me very much :-)
Hello. Thanks for being a great fan over the years.. you send a text through my hangout Gmail. I promise to give a response back. I guess it's a little way of showing my fans appreciation.. I'm now available to meet and greet.
No recuerdo bien. Que tema....ídolo SANTANA
I fell in love with him at age of 10, im now 60. My biggest regret in life is not being able to play like him. Wasted 50 years but wnjoyed every note he has ever played.
What a beautiful version of his classic song, Samba Pa Ti. Santana has never sounded better; and he always sounds great. Bravissimo! Thank you for posting.
Wow, thank you for your amazing comment, Rosie! It's fans like you who make all the hard work worth it. Your support means everything to me and I'm grateful for it every day.
