Thanks for this video. I'm one of those people who worked at the Giro/A&L/Santander right up until the pandemic. For the last few years I was on the 5th floor and indeed spent several years in the south wing which is the one being torn down (truly, I can see my desk from here!). These days, those of us who don't work from home are in the building you can see top-right of the frame at 20:48: Alaska House on Dunningsbridge Road.

Many thank for showing this GB, as your in my back yard, the area I was brought up in. The "Giro Bank" was built on the old Orrell Pleasure site. Which was full of football pitches, occasionally our school took us there to play. It had an pavilion for a changing facility, I can still remember the smell! I can remember one Sunday my dad took my up there to watch some Sunday League football. Watching a game I was knocked out cold when I was hit in the face by a leather case football. I came too after "treatment" by the bucket and cold water man. Dad carried me home and a police car stopped to see if we needed a lift home!

Whatever happened to using a wrecking ball? Also, I thought these were meant to be converted in apartments?
