Just did the 30K ride with your group last weekend. Unfortunately I did not record the ride, but I have watched this video numerous times since it's the exact route we too and so I can re-live the ride vicariously through you! Love it!

Hey Alan - Love the format you have with this video that includes the grinds and climbs. Most folks focus on the sexy downhill but forget that you need to earn the turns. It's also great that you're working with Kady - she's fearless!!

Just rode your route today and it was a blast! That steep rock roller is a monster in person, props to her for sending it. I went down those other two she hit as well as that double rock one at the edge, but decided to save that steep one for another day. Then finished with ridgeline. It was tough to get down as I hadn't experienced anything that loose, but fortunately a local 14 year old showed me the lines and coached me down it lol. Great video thanks for the guide!

Thanks for putting this up Alan. I had wanted to try out Santiago Oaks but had been putting it off since I didn't know the park or have anyone nearby that really wanted to go. This helped me put a ride together and I just got back from my first visit there using this route. Great, easy to follow guide, thanks! 👍👊

Great content! The maps and insite are above any channels I've seen. My wife is from Newport, but we live in Santa Cruz. So finding trails is hard when we travel to see family. Thanks for the directions. Ounce again, great content.

Alan. This is not a beginner's trail. It was our first time at the Santiago Trial ( we have done the Fullerton loop only before this) . Going down chutz is so much harder than it looks. On a Marlin 6 hard tail and having BMI over 30 , let's just say I struggled a tiny little bit...

Love it whenever you make videos like these, a complete and detailed trail guide. Been there 3 times and my buddies love to park in the Elem School which doesnt give me a peace of mind thinking my car might get towed. Now, I can go there by myself and follow your trail guide. Thank you so much Alan. Hope you can make more videos like this as its really helpful. Youve done it on Aliso too so I can smell Greer nxt time?

Heck yeah! You're gonna have a blast. And this time of year is the best time to ride Santiago Oaks. If it has rained recently, make sure and check www.ocparks.com/parks-trails/alerts to make sure the trails are open. 👍🏾

Whats up Alan!!!! A group of us will be out there opening weekend for snow summit. Are there any trails around snow summit you would recommend before we hit the park??? We are coming out from Vegas so we don't know what trails are out there lol

Yo! You can do an out and back on Plumbers (www.trailforks.com/trails/plumbers/). This also connects with Skyline (www.trailforks.com/trails/skyline-trail-48106/), and you can go as far as you want on that trail. You can also go up Plumbers, then head up Pirates and descend Fall Line (www.trailforks.com/trails/fall-line-52356/). Fall Line is my favorite off-park trail up there. Hope that helps.
