Part 12 of the Santisima Trinidad build, in this video i do the last deck of the ship, plaking the deck, adding treenails, aging and weathering of the wood, and final assembly in place along with the side bullwarks.
The 2 cannons that are visible in the video were done because access would be harder later. The cannon building process will be on a later video

Great video series, just subscribed to the channel. I've just found it and spent the last few days watching it. Very informative. I myseft am building the Amati Endeavour, much easier model, and some of the techics you are showing will be very useful. Keep up the excellent job and looking forward to more videos.

@@ModelShips I'm keeping a log of my build in my channel. I'm currently working on the rigging so I'm almost done but the sails have to be made. That's going to be quite a lot of work since it will be the first time I make them from scratch. Nice summary of some previous video’s. Any particular reason why you use instant glue ( loctite) and not white wood glue?

Both glues will affect the staining.. CA glue is easyer to keep off the parts that will be stained, and being much faster is a added bonus, but truth be told, most of this should be done with pva

I was wondering how the practice of holy stoning would have affected the wear and discoloration on these decks. I know the ST was lost at Trafalgar, but are you basing your aging techniques on tall ships you have seen, or historic information? I would love to build this model some day.

I've tried several looks, and this one was better in my opinion, it's mostly based on the look of wood that is on the sun

Some people just get it. Only problem I build airplanes and my wife makes quilts. I think I will just sail away on this boat. Bring on the pirates. I will take my chances. Great project. I think it took more effort to film it, add music, and publish it than making it. Buy the way, you need a manicure.
