Glad you liked the video! More to come. I think you need to consider if there is a year-round expat and local community. Some places really get empty for part of the year. I like real towns with people year-round!
Not sure how the Amalfi Coast wins for access when it is an hour and a half away from the nearest airport and Santorini has an airport right on the island. And then if we bring ferries into the equation, Santorini is only an hour or two away from an amazing collection of islands: Crete, Mykonos, Naxos, Paros, Milos, Folegandros, Ios, Sifnos, Amorgos etc. If I was holiday planning and I needed a base to get to other places, I'd choose Santorini over the Amalfi Coast any day.
All good points! We discussed these with my wife who seemed to vote more for Amalfi while I was leaning toward Santorini. Thanks for watching and for your comments!
Food winner is Amalfi? Hahaha, what a ridicilous choice. How you tried eating grilled octopus or seabass with Assyrtiko wine, alongside greek salad and feta cheese, dinning at restaurant with view to caldera and infinity?
Yes, that was a tough one. I’ve had many beautiful meals in both. If you find the authentic places, not the tourist traps, the food is amazing in both. That’s what makes it actually so difficult to choose! Thanks for commenting and I can tell you’re passionate about Greece!
