Yep, he should hold it for a while too. And he isn't the type of face that fans turn on once he gets the belt I don't think. I'm so happy that his hard work paid off and that HHH didn't hold his age against him and not push him when it was obvious that we wanted a belt on him. Vince was ruining his career, thank God he was moved outta the way.

I can't see Carmelo Hayes moving up the midcard with the likes of Stantos Escobar, Andrade, Austin Theory and Grayson Waller after they split, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Chiampa after they split, Giovanni Vinci. Too many of Paul Levesque-McMahon's favorites in the way of Carmelo Hayes moving up the card.
It's so fitting that the first title LA Knight won in the WWE was the U.S Championship. This guy represents the American Dream. Only in America can someone earn an opportunity later in life and become a huge success based on their talent and hard-work. He already carried himself like a world champion, so this is beyond well-deserved for him 👏🏾
Yeah, he was interesting when he turned heel for like a week, then Andrade returned (someone who does Santos' heel gimmick better), so they forced Andrade to be a face, which doesn't work very well. It's a lose-lose situation.
