I never being briefed to understanding economics dynamics and development as this by Sanusi. I hope he'll one day have opportunity to steer the country in order to feel the practicality of what he said in Nigeria.

This present government gave some organisations millions of dollars at very low interest rate to build rice factories and left the majority of Nigerians businesses to access funds at very a high cost. So low rates are good for some and not good for others , how is that right? Why can't the government allow everyone same rates? Because they have to keep the rates high to defray their loans , at the detriment of the rest of the country

Sanusi is talking way too much all Nigeria needs to do is privatise the all semi state companies in the hands of Nigerians . Is will lower the cost of government by 10% and drive over 500. million in the state coppers.

Sir Buhari took your advice in his first 4 years in office ( an advice your gave during Jonathan's government; where you advised that the government should conserve the amount of foreign currency spent on importing rice)they banned rice and even last year we had a positive trade balance ( import against exports) but did it solve the problem ? of course No. And the reason is simple, rice isn't the only thing government should be interested in. What about other people

Sir there's something fundamentally wrong with your suggestion. Firstly you keep referring to Nigeria as a wholistic entity that is involved in trading with an aim to make profit, it isn't a fair term, there are people involved, individuals that venture daily. The Nigerian government's yearly revenue is less than 10% of the country's GDP. Hence it is earnings of individuals and companies that make the bulk of the GDP. And until the government changes from the present paternalistic view which leads to an endless craving for foreign currency, things are not going to change. The government must see all individual organisations as key stakeholders to drive the economy and design policies that protect the interest of all Nigerian businesses.
