This was an awesome little review! I just ordered this one and a 520nm. I wish I knew how to build lasers so I could buy them cheap and get more diverse wavelengths!
yeah I feel the same. I dont know how to do use a Lathe so I would screw them all up lol. youll love this thing when you get it, just remember to not leave it on more than 40 seconds, i made that mistake years ago :( thanks again for the words.
Nice review!! I just received my 505 a week ago. Still waiting on it’s driver. I’m gonna have Paul spectro the WL see where she lazes at. Sure looks like a great WL, can’t wait!!
shotgundrums hey SGD! What kind of driver you gonna use? If you haven’t seen 505 yet it’s amazing! I really wish I had a Spectrometer :( let me know what Paul’s reading is :D I think I remember STA posting something about a Spectro for under 100 bucks. I know it’s no OceanOptics lol but I would love to have it.
oh actually thats a 450nm. cameras always make them look 405nm. its around 80mw and i got it from Laserpointerstore.com and the red one I actually built that one using an Oclaro 700 :D its about 750mw on a G2. its a 638nm
@@04mach1speedJust a small correction, but great for laser enthusiasts, 555nm is only brighter during the day Or in places with lots of lighting , but in our night vision it is called scotopic vision, our greatest Sensitivity is 507nm and at night 520nm is brighter than 532nm at night adaptation Which is what matters for lasers in most cases
Polonium210 I do know quite a bit of people from Canada on Laserpointerforums that usually don’t have a problem, the sender of my Pocket lasers usually just marks them as flashlights and they usually go right through. Hopefully it works out if you decide to order one. I don’t think you should have a problem :)

I just got mine in and the wavelength is super clean, very differerent. The dot on mine is bigger than i exspected, bigger than yours. Wondering if something is wrong. either way it's a cool pointer!
Joe Dash hey Joe, have you tried focusing it, because when mine came in the head was a tiny bit out of focus, hopefully you figured it out, also try not to take the lens off too much in your room because I’ve made this mistake before with previous lasers and small dust particles got onto my Diode window and was so hard to get off without damaging the Diode :(
Peetiegonzalez hey, their are only 3 types of visible light glasses I would get one that just says it's for green because those will work for 505nm. the ones I have are from Dragon lasers and they block 190nm to 540nm so they block all 505 light. the other glasses are for 590-750 so they'll block red lasers but to basically answer your question just get glasses that say they block green light, that works on 505 :-)
I play with my 140 mw 492nm laser and I only use glasses only when burning things and got no eye damage. You really stress it so much that you don’t even know what the color looks like to your eye
So I’ve got got mine today I got the 445nu 800mw I didn’t get a battery with it cause I thought it just took regular batteries so I put a regular triple a in and you can barely see it in the dark when the laser is on so do you need certain batteries to go in or have I been bumped for a 120 pound laser
