I was in tears and broken for so many years about mine especially considering my oldest troubled past thinking I deserved to be treated badly after what I had done and I still have moments when I see movies and politics about abortion and I become broken all over again I know that God forgives , but I can’t seem to forgive myself thank you for your testimony.

Thank the lord for you. Your testimony is encouraging women all around the world to confess there sin and ask for forgiveness from the lord above. An abortion is a very painful and emotional. The guilt afterwards is overwhelming. I know cause I'm one of those women.

Ms Sanya, I just turned 73 last week and a few days later, I musta picked up Covid. So 5 days into my quarantine, I decided I'll do some random RU-vid binging. I added coverage of the Jamaican women's 100 sweep at this year's WORLDS . When I heard your voice, I wound up adding a few flashback moments to my queue and unwittingly added this one. I Had never heard your testimony. Got me sobbing like a new born baby. While the genesis of your testimony concerns abortion, the nexus of your message is all-inclusive. All's I can say is , if He's got His arms around all yous Jamaicans, then I know healing's in store for me. Keep on keeping on!

Thank you so much for sharing your story. I still battle emotionally with an abortion that I had over twenty years ago. I have read your book. It was excellent and courageous to right the book. Abortion tends to be hush hush in churches and especially in the African-American communities even more so in churches. I also like how you discussed how abortion effects men. I have battled with anger issues with the father for many years. We are no longer in touch. It's always bothered me that he seemed to be not effected, nonchalant and sometimes even glad we opted for the abortion. I felt like he even distanced himself which even made the anger worse. Once I thank you from the bottom of my heart your testimony truly moved me.

Amazing testimony, always looked up to this wonderful woman as an Olympian track athlete, but now hearing her amazing testimony, her love of God and the evidence of God's mercy and love through his Son Jesus Christ and the sacrifice he made on the cross, is radiating through her and I see the light of Christ in her. I was told I had to do a medically induced abortion or I would die. Went to many pro life docs and they said the same surprisingly. It's been hard. I already have a 5 month old and... I don't know what to do. I am currently 15 weeks pregnant and I have the abortion scheduled soon... I feel like I have no choice and at the same time I feel selfish.

I get it. God loves us and his mercy is boundless. But Sanya has made a decision and shared a very public testimony that will ripple out to many and result in only more innocent blood being shed, and more people ending up in hell. Clearly, she knows deep down she committed a grievous sin...murder. Worse, her own child. The sacred pace of her WOMB--the holy of holies where the image of God can be knit together--became (shudder) a TOMB. She literally sacrificed her child in service to the idol of her Olympic aspirations. But instead of straight-up acknowledging and repenting of her sin (the conviction and the desire for which you can see bubbling beneath the surface of her entire testimony) she basically just said, "Whoops! My bad. But God loves and forgives me anyway," and gave everyone who listens to her the same convenient way out she embraced. Babies are likely going to die as a result. And souls will be endangered. It would have been far better had Sanya just kept silent rather than get up and try to assuage her conscience with this "Peace, peace!" -- when there is no peace-- errant testimony. (Jeremiah 6:14) I pray she reads this and God gives her a gift of true repentance. And then she gives meaning to her son or daughter's death by getting involved in the battle for life. To quote another Olympic runner, Eric Liddell, "Compromise is the language of the devil."

I can understand female athletes not wanting kids before major events. They have put in many hours of blood, sweat and tears to reach level of human achievement that few of us can even dream about. But there are ways for them not to become pregnant. Athletes can decide when to have kids. Its called contraception. To terminate a child just because you want a gold medal to me is absolutely disgusting and one of the most selfish expressions of human behaviour imaginable. Weh she a gwaan with?
