Sanyo Xacti GH-1 Video Sample in 720p 

@lajson Aww thanks for the reply! I discovered sanyo's CG10 had microphone jacks so I was hopign to get that model. but then I saw your video and was too blown away by the video quality X_X now I'm back to square one with my videocam purchase lol

@lipadier You have the choice of either using the button or letting it turn on when you open the display.

@lizzzyscratch Thanks, I love too my GH1 and it's quite nice HD Camcorder for the price I paid for it. The music is from Apple iLife (the software package which contains photo, video, music/sound editing programs which are installed on Apple computers ) which you can choose to add to the video footage.

@JohnMorris10 It has up to 60fps. the focus can be manual or automatic.

@ianboonmusic Thanks and this camera hasn't slow motion and you can import the video clips ( which are in mp4 format ) to the iMovie without conversion

is the auto focus quick to react? i want this cam for my vids :)

@elpheal Hi again and thanks for the comment :-)) Now to answer your questions 1 Unfortunately it hasn't have any kind of jack for external microphone but as it's a low budget camcorder it's not a surprise. 2 I bought this camcorder in Sweden for about 300$ but because we have so high taxis here I suppose that the price must be much lower in the states ( US ) I think this camcorder known as Sanyo Xacti DMX-GH1 in US and VPC-GH1 in Europe

@zocoworld I have this camcorder. The image stabilisation system is not great, but you still notice if you turn it off :-). Battery life is good though. Although it's a small battery lasts for hours of recording.

lajson: Question about battery life: It seems the "Power on" button is only visible after you've opened the display on this camera. Do you really have to open the display first, or can the camera turned on and record with the display closed?

all right, MattieKirby1, what have you expected for the price ? Also the 3 times the price cameras have difficulties in low light and if you wana get a god low light camera then you must fork out over 1000$ for a 3CCD/MOS camera from Canon, Panasonic or Sony but those cameras aren't affordable as Xacti GH-1. But it's a way to improve the low light capabilities of the GH-1 and it's very simple and inexpensive : get one or two flashlights (or headlights ) and use them at night for filming.

@roper9526 Unfortunately it hasn't threaded lens for accessories as fish-eye but it has, as Sanyo says, Built-in ND filter @lizzzyscratch The weather wasn't that good lately but I'm intent to do some more videos soon @timons106 Those are good video editing software for windows PC but they are costs money and require fairly powerful hardware. Then again the iMovie comes free when you buy a Mac Computer and it producing a quite good results as a basic video editing software. cheers

Which mode did you record the video in? Was this the standard 9 MBPS 720P video mode or was this recorded in the higher quality 12 MBPS 720P mode? I was looking into getting this camera but can this camera record video in 1080P? I know the highest quality mode shoots 60 FPS Video at 16 MBPS in 1080I. If you were to shoot video at the 2nd highest quality setting does it shoot at 1080P or only 1080I?

Would you be so glad to upload some video with quick moving objects - cars on highway, runners, etc.
