the fastest way of raising affinity is through revives though, so yes there is some grind to it, but atleast for me it was so satisfying after eventually getting it though. The true ending is also nice to get not only for the achievement but you also get a completey different ending which if you havnt been spoiled of it yet, is pretty cool! One other thing i would like to point out, is that if you are still on your first playtrough, i believe one of the requirements is to get every image unlocked in the gallery, not all the cutscenes but all of the pictures which one of them you dont get until entering the final part of the game, so for me, i didnt get the true ending until beating the game and choosing to revert back time which then talking to my arfa-sys gave me the amulet. The cool thing is though, you keep any progress made after the part it reverts you back to, so the only thing, if every requirement was completed prior to beating the game and then reverting back, that you need to do is progress back to the final boss. Also, if you havnt looked into every step to getting the true ending, there is something you must do during the final boss fight to truely get the true ending, i dont want to spoil anything for you though so only look that up if you want to make sure to get the true ending on the first try.

@@devinem24 I've done the requirements just recently honey :) I'm actually on my second playthrough and I'm focused on getting it but I have the affinities set already also just having the affinities isn't all you also need to make sure you complete kirito mode and if you did it right you should get a key item from your arfa sys then you need to play the game like normal and get to the final boss and prevent the beam from firing if you did it right the quest condition will change from dead all to fatal bullet

im aware of this, i made this video because this was the most grindy part of it all and the most important

How to go on extreme mode

that nerf is pretty harsh, the only reason i see them doing it would have been to get people to stop farming for the affinity and instead played the game and let it happen naturaly which would take ages. And the only reason to want people to do it that way would be to extend the playtime of the game for people which i also find odd because ive played the game for id guess over 200 hours and still enjoyed it. Still need to get back into it and play the dlc's too! Either way, glad to hear this is still a helpful and effective method especially with the other things people commented to help it work even better

Dont u have to get a bad ending for that to be available? I know i never saw it till after Zeliska died.

hey no problem, and thanks for the spelling correction lol! I think im going to leave it though since its been like that this whole time, i can now look at it and get a little laugh. I think the weapon I was using was the peacock shotgun, dual wielded, and then reforged (or whatever it was called in this game to transfer stats) to my liking. No specific place to get it really that i remember, although there probably is somewhere you can farm for it. I used the vendor in the main city a lot to find good stuff or atleast good weapons/gear to use for reforging because the vendor resets everytime you exit it and go back in. EDIT: I skipped ahead in the vid a little bit and there is a point where i look at my character sheet and yes, the weapon is the "peacock 2+" 2:52

as i havnt played in quite a while now, i cant remember personally but looking into it, on Xbox is seems to be the "select" button (not start/pause but the one to the left of it) so playstation for example would be the left side of the touch pad id assume

Just curious, which dungeons do you complete and how much affinity fo they give? I just need to level up Itsuki and Joe to affinity 4 and Zeliska to 75%

In my case i hit every dungeon I can hit from the first map until the 3rd map while taking out every possible unique enemies and marks along way, went to the other subway first and then spent a few hour with the cannon trick and then finally grind the first half of sbc flugel for the finishing touch. It’s get repetitive but at least it’s easier than other sao games. Yep, this is the easy one.

so from what i remember, almost everything i read said to make sure you get all of the affinity up before doing kirito mode. Its been quite a while so i dont remember exactly why that is. So with that in mind, did you happen to get them up after having unlocked and completed kirito mode? That could be the reason. Sorry i cant be of more help but its just been quite a while since i played

@@devinem24 It's fine. Thanks for the reply. In truth I didn't even bother to grind for affinity until after beating the final boss and doing the rewind... so yeah. But if this error is connected to Kirito mode, you think it could occur after beating other bonus modes as well?

i think it might just be that there isnt really anyone playing it, if youre looking to do the pvp, I was hoping to have fun playing it around when the game released, but it was a pretty aweful experience lol, the only matches i got into were teams that would spam heal each other the entire match and were unkillable. If you mean the co-op missions then there may still be people doing them, but you gotta search and join a match i believe, been a while since i did that too. Only real advantage of doing co-op missions is to farm the hardest boss for emeralds to sell anyway so you arent really missing out on much IMO

im sure just about any method other than this is a lot less boring lol, just for me i was going for the true ending on my very first playthrough, so i wasnt gonna be playing on extreme. I do appreciate the other ideas though, deffinately helps give the community different options

@@xXartuntaureforyouXx I havnt played in quite a while now, last time i played was when one of the DLC's came out. At that time I was able to do some co-op boss fights but the VS modes were absolutely dead. Couldnt say for sure though as of this time

so, although nobody really mentions it, i believe one of the requirements is to unlock every photo in the gallery(in the base game) and one of the photos is unlocked when you start the final mission. So, if you ask me, yes you do need to beat the game the first time, then rewind (it will ask you after the final scene if you want to, select yes) and then when it spawns you back in your room talk to arphasis and he/she should give you the pendant needed to get the true ending

sorry if i misunderstand anything you said, but it seems like you have everything right. Get the affinities to the ranks you said, and do all of the "green balloon" activities/cutscenes. Beat kirito mode. One thing you can check like i said is look at your photo gallery by going to the tv in your room. If you have all but one photo unlocked, go ahead and do the final mission. No matter how you complete it the first time doesnt matter, the only thing that matters is when it pops up asking if you would like to rewind, click "yes". It does not send you back to the biggining and you do NOT have to do anything over again except for the last couple of missions. After rewinding though, talk to your arphasis and if she gives you a pendant, then you did everything right and you can safely play back to the final mission again. At this point yes, you must interupt/stop the final boss from firing the dark ball. Know that if you at all mess this up, you should be able to rewind as many times as you want.

I dont exactly remember how to gift outfits to characters, but i do know it happens either during or after kirito mode

have you gone through to the end of the game and reverted back when the prompt comes up allowing you to? because my theory on the whole thing is you need to complete the photo gallery which one of the photos you dont unlock until you enter the final part of the game. Go to your room and go to the tv to check your photo gallery, videos/cutscenes dont matter. if you have them all then you should be good, but if like me you are missing one, play through the rest of the game, at the end it will ask you if you would like to revert back to an earlier part of the game, hit yes. then talk to your arphasys and she should give it to you, then simply play back through the rest of the game again with the pendant and you should be good. As i have mentioned to others though, there is something you need to do during the final fight in order to trigger the true ending so if you arent aware of what that is, check other videos or sources because i dont want to spoil it for anyone.

I check all of the True ending requirements from Steam and other webpages None have explain to fill all of the Photo/Video's/cut-scenes i been going back and forth trying to find out i did all the quests for Asuna, Agil and Liz i made sure to do that

i cant say it for sure if filling the photo gallery is a requirement, but, when i got everything else done i ran into the same issue you are having. So what i did was i proceded to the end of the game and there is one photo that you dont unlock until right before the last boss fight. After i beat the game i accepted the chance to revert back to before the end and my arpha sys ended up giving me the pendant right after i reverted back and talked to him/her in my room. So like i said, although i cant 100% confirm that it is a requirement, it was the only thing i noticed differently after reverting back because i had every photo except the one you unlock after going into the last mission and then when i reverted back i had them all unlocked which is why im assuming it. The videos/cutscenes should not be a requirement because i do not have them all, but my photo gallery is 100% complete

i guess ill take a look and try again its just its going to be a pain to do the Affinity farm again since there all lvl 80 now and it will take longer to do

you wont have to do any affinity farm again, when you revert back after beating the game it doesnt affect any progress you made or items, it simply just puts you back to a previous mission

It is said that you can get the charm before beating the game, but for me and seemingly a lot of other players, you do need to beat it first. I had done everything that was said to be needed for true ending and I didnt get the charm, so, i went on to beat the game (any ending) and after choosing to revert back (it will give you option after final scene) i talked to my arfasys and they gave me the charm. I didnt do anything up until that point other than beat the game and revert back to get the charm so what I think might be a requirement is either to have beaten the game once, or, to fill the photo gallery which one of the photos (last one for me at that time) is unlocked after going into the final mission (photo of the nervegear) So, if your arfasys isnt giving you the charm and you think you have done everything needed for true ending, go ahead and beat the game, choose to revert back and talk to your arfasys and see if they give it to you

I had forgotten a few points about when you get the charm(its been a while since i played lol) so I dont want to give false info, sorry for that. But anyway, good luck on getting it and know just as long as you have done the other requirements you cant go wrong in the final fight as you can try it again (by reverting after last scene) as many times as you want

@@devinem24 1 more thing i need to ask is about new game + do i unlock it after getting the bad ending or do i get it if i dont revert time and does new game plus go to a different save or does it delete my current save data

@@Carito-000 you automatically go into new game + if you choose not to revert back. New game plus doesnt delete anything, it just puts you back at the beginning of the game with your same character with all of the gear and money and levels you had previously. Dont take my word on this part, but I believe there is a mission select in new game plus as well. The only thing being that along with main story progress the other thing that resets is affinity with all characters, so if you already went through the grind to get affinity with all characters and you havnt gotten the true ending yet, I recommend doing the true ending first.

thats actually a really good question that i unfortunately couldnt answer. I was on the same boat as you though when doing it, i just wanted to skip through it lol but just incase i went through it all.

i unfortunately havnt played in quite a while and havnt touched the dlc yet so i couldnt personally give any tips on that. If i get back into the game soon and check out the dlc and find any tips i can share, i will though seeing as there have been a few questions going around and im guessing not many people are still covering this game

the point of this wasnt to show the "fastest" method, im well aware that this isnt. But it is a very efficient method along with the fact that you can do this a bit before even unlocking kirito mode. Appreciate the info though.

Cool just posted for those who ain’t know when you have the option to do kirito mode the game encourages you to max affinities before you leave kirito mode it even says you will get something for it

and this didn't ever need a tutorial, weapon affinity did and does, bcs I stg, 1 point is 1 kill, and you need 1k each, including sword and pistol dual wield.

absolutely retarded grind, only thing I've encountered thats worse is aot 2, I still haven't finished that with all the characters in that game 🙄

although I have not done it since getting the true ending myself so I cant say for certain, I dont see any reason why it wouldnt. Its not a glitch although I suppose you could say it is in a way an "exploit", its not really game breaking. Before doing this, after playing the game for over 100 hours, I was nowhere near getting the affinity where it is needed with each character, so doing it by simply playing through the game is unreasonable, and by the time you get to the end of the game you would still have to go back and grind it in some way so I dont see them patching this.

Sir DeVinci ok just wondering I just got the game yesterday because it was on sale and my friend told me it has a True ending but said it takes forever so I had to look it up to see there was a way to make it more efficient

I gotcha, enjoy the game man! just one thing i will say is i dont suggest doing the farming stuff until later in the game, start off just playing the game and enjoying it, farming sucks no matter what lol but hopefully when you get to this point it still works and helps out!

there will be a point where you unlock whats called "kirito mode" which is another requirement for true ending, ill save you from any spoilers though, once you unlock that, but before doing it, is when i would suggest it

it is and i cant deny how much of a grind it is, but honestly, once you get it going, its not all that bad. in fact its really satisfying once you get it done and can then enjoy the rest. I have fallen behind on alot of content i had planned for this game because of my old pc practically shitting itself lol but i got my new one and when i get a chance i have a bunch of small guides for other things to upload. Also would like to potentially do a video explaining everything to get the true ending and i also need to get back to the game and play the dlc.

no, extreme difficulty is not needed to get true ending, but do check for a full list of things needed for it because the affinity is only one part. What i believe to be the main thing needed for the true ending, along side needing to complete kirito mode (which you will be told when you unlock it) is to unlock all of the photos in the gallery which you can view at the tv in your home. One of the photos you dont get until right before the end of the game so what that means is it technically is impossible to get the true ending on your first completion of the game, but instead when prompted you can revert back a few quests before the end after beating the game and then if you completed kirito mode and got the appropriate affinity levels and if you go to your tv and have the gallery completed (not cutscenes just the photos) when you talk to your arfasis she should give you a amulet which means you are safe to then go to the end of the game again and get the true ending. I will say this though, there is something you must do during the final fight in order to succesfully get the true ending, but i dont want to spoil it so if you want to make sure you get it, look it up.

no harm in that, just for anyone strictly going for the true ending as affinity gained through just playing is (or was atleast at the time) very minimal.

you must have really enjoyed the game then, because i personally wouldnt have gone through the effort of getting the affinity up with everyone otherwise lol. Im curious though, do you remember if you got it on the very first ending? or if you got it after doing a revert? because i was thinking one of the requirements was to fill up the gallery (photos) which one of them you dont get until the very end which would make it technically impossible to get it as your VERY FIRST ending

@@devinem24 honestly I'm not sure since this was about a year ago it was prob like 2nd or 3rd time bc I was trying to get all achievements and played it multiple times doing different things to get the secret achievements so that's probably why I had all the affinity for the true ending
