This is just the song, plain and simple, no pictures, no lyrics, no nothing... So if you, like me, just want to post a song on your blog maybe, or if you just get annoyed by all the distractions, you can just use this.
Wow listening to this now in 2024 at 31 years old has me in tears. Saosin got me through my first heart break, this band was so special to me idk 15-17 years ago. Now upon rediscovering them I’m immersed in nostalgia, chills running through me. I love this song.
Meeee but i hate the fact that they revised all old saosin songs into something new and i didn't like the new versions. Got used to the old ones with cove i guess
I thought the 2020 version was fantastic, and really liked hearing a new version of Anthony doing his thing, just like the “original” original. I really did like this version with Cove, though.
i completely forgot about this song until i stumbled upon it again and it used to be one of my favourite hidden gems, sang the lyrics too as if the last time i heard it was a week back
@@LucyLoveheart88964 Same. After 10 plus years of not hearing this song , i could still sing it word for word. I swear my veins were popping out of my neck lmao 😭😂
Legitimately though, this song combines everything that was good about post-green saosin and pre-reber saosin. How did this not make any of their albums?
Betray The Avalon is always beside me And I'm following it home Where is my home Orion glows And his eyes open up I once believed that I would set you in line If only I had the strength you'd be completely accepting something else If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you to stop it now If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you just tell me something The fluid through the alpha waves and power cables everywhere Exercising self-control The child calls And he lies open I would believe if only I'd been thinking at all If only I had the strength you'd be completely accepting something else If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you to stop it now If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you just tell me something If you keep asking me (keep asking me) keep asking me If only I had the strength you'd be completely accepting something else If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you to stop it now If you keep asking me I'll melt away in the summer air It won't hurt half as much and I'll beg for you just tell me something You swore Out like my life You cried So I'm engaged to smile
This is the cove version incase you can't tell by the chorus. Compare it to the other version and you'll hear Anthony's 'signature yell' in the chorus on the other one.
They are underated since the main vocalist then cove arrived, kinda pulled their rate a bit high but not too much then cove retired back to the main vocalist then gone :(
I used to listen to this exact version when I was in high school, with the drum intro. Since I graduated in 2004 and it was before Anthony left the band, I'm pretty sure it's him.
I Can Tell (There Was An Accident Here Earlier) was a demo recorded with Anthony in 2003 and was then rerecorded with Cove in 2004 and played in Music on the Brain Volume 1
This comment thread's old, but this is definitely Cove. This recording was his audition for the band. According to the rest of the band they thought Anthony was playing a prank on them when they first heard the recording.
I can tell.. haha pun intended, but i seriously ... my love goes out to cove, however there is just something so unique like the bigbang happened all over again when beau and anthony linked up. Everything was perfect the og saosin just nailed it. Imo it was theee post-hardcore. But also thursday... ugh no words to explain my love and passion for that band as well.
To be fair, Cove wasn't what caused the band to change. Translating The Name was such an ambitious album and if the rest of the band let Anthony do his work, it could have been a different story. The band changed. Cove had nothing to do with it.
@@vDeadbolt idk if this comment was directed at me or not but i wasnt saying cove changed anything. I'm just saying og saosin translating the name nailed the post hardcore sound
@BigBoiVaziri hahaha, its cove dude! The reason saosin hoocked up with cove is because when he sent in his audition tape, they thought someone had sent a recording of anthony as a joke lol. Of course cove's voice changed alot as he was still pretty darn young, and he'd had never been a lead singer before.
yes. but saosin were jerks to him. quite sad. Always ran him down that he wasn't anthony. So, cove decided to no longer mimic green and make his own style. I prefer the cove interpretation of green, because I think he does green better than green. lol If that makes any sense. The band shouldn't have influenced him to change his sound.
Louis Francisco I know right! They can sound so similar sometimes... it's freaky haha. But there is a demo version with Anthony, and this one (I guess is on an album) is Cove
@@peniletouch This actually is Cove singing. The Anthony version doesn't have the instrumentals as clear and no drum intro. There's a youtube video that compares them if you want to hear both back to back.
From what I'VE read, it means small heart, and theres some story behind it with ancient Chinese fathers telling their sons to "be careful" b/c girls come and go. So in a way, they both work as translations.
The original title for the song is I can tell there was an accident here earlier, they later changed it just to "I can Tell" it's the same version just diff name. Then they rereleased it with Cove on vocals.
It's Cove singing - first off, he was accepted into the band because his voice sounded like Green… It's infuriating how some people say they hate Saosin after Anthony left and yet can't tell the difference between AG and Cove until In Search Of Solid Ground.
actually, the word "sao sin" in Chinese is like a homonym (have the same pronounciation, but mean different things.) the first meaning is "be careful" the second meaning is "small heart"
