The title of this song has me thinking about the great metaphor of the "silver cord" - which is an expression of the thread of consciousness that connects the soul to the physical body. When the spirit leaves the body upon death, this cord is said to be stretched out until it eventually disconnects, ultimately transitioning the soul from ever reconnecting to the body again; the point of no return from death.

Saosin’s style certainly has been refined throughout the years. I’ve been listening to this tune on repeat, as of late. I just found this song under Search. Friggin’ amazing stuff!! Keep it up Saosin!

Saosin is probably one of the only bands that can sound so poetic, instrumentally and lyrically.

I don't know if it's the same guy on every album but their drummer is a fucking monster.

Alex is still there and making me tingle in so many ways as a drummer. Can't wait to hear what he does and what the rest of the album sounds like.

I think what really interests me with Tony's screams is that he doesn't seem to scream like, say, a metalcore vocalist. he just vocal belts really fucking hard. I've see vocalists do that before that fucked up their voices from doing it improperly, so Tony perfecting it is impressive as all fuck.

I feel like I was transported to 2006-2009 Self-Titled and In Search of Solid Ground days. I'm so glad this sounds like Saosin and not Circa Survive as much as I fucking love Circa though if you know what I mean? Holy shit, blown away.

@mikeshinoda @LinkinPark If there is another benefit concert or anniversary tour in the future, Anthony Green should be considered, first for a jam session and see how it goes. He has splendid vocal technique, vocal range, a very particular voice, incredible talent, stage presence and charisma.

This album is freaking amazing. I really hope this brings back one of the greatest genres I've heard.

Anthony Green is one of the greatest vocalists / musicians / performers living today; certainly of this generation.

Man I saw this cat Anthony G. in some club in Atlanta like 15yrs ago when he was playing a show with Circa -- other bands were Portugal. The Man. and The Receiving End of Sirens (defunct). Coolest show I've ever been to by far. There was some chick backstage that kept yelling that she wasn't trashed but we all knew. We knew. ;)

Love this song. Use it to wake myself up. Anthony can go back and forth from screaming to singing like a magician. One of my top songs of 2016.
