In this Video, you will be able to learn quickly how to create a Query. Use this powerful SAP Standard tool in order to generate quick reports. You can get more information at: www.blog.natsolutions.com.br/
In the video you mention that some IT departments forbid user access to SQVI or SQ01 because queries can impact system performance. This mentality is the single most significant reason why Enterprise Systems do not provide the value proposed. The purpose of an ERP system is to process and collect data. This data is the source of information that can propel a business forward. Restricting access to data prevents continuous improvement and puts the information in the hands of a select few who guard the data to advance their own job security agendas. I speak from experience. As a non-IT, operations department super user, I was able to leverage business intelligence tools like SQVI to extract data that provided my department managers with business intelligence that propelled my department far ahead of other departments that did not allow access to information. As you can see from my comment, I take serious exception to this mentality that IT managers would forbid access to these fundamental tools.
Hi +Jeff Curran Thanks for your visit , comments and contribution. Very good point! I would say every coin has two faces. To provide SQVI access to every single user means also lack of control, I mean, if you use a Z Report or a Standard Report, you can control information / data based on Roles and Profiles. When you open SQVI, you are giving all Company information to anyone who knows the tables check and download this data. Let us say, for security reasons, company does not want to share total amount of sales... this is just an example. I believe, yes companies can provide access to it, but it would be necessary to choose the users with responsability. Thanks again! Regards, Natan
Thank you very much, understand how careful we should be when to chose them . Could you do one for unique raw materials , this is just when we know a certain finished good will be discontinue and we want to analyzed the impact of potential obsolescence
Very good explanation but at the end you showed that the record with no history would not come out in the results. If you had clicked on the join lines you could have selected to change the join to the history table to a left outer join, and then the record without the history lines will have shown up.
Hi Natan Im including those tables, EKKO, EKPO, EBAN, EKES AND EKBE, and I already select the fields that I want, BUT when I run the report there is a message: "No data was selected" but I already select and include information, do you know why?
Boa noite, tudo bem ? Abs, Natan
Wonderful job! Would it be possible for you to create a video on how to create a Material Master Sqvi? I've created one using these tables (MARA, MAKT, MARC, MARD and MBEW). I left the joins exactly how they connected when I put the tables into the query. My problem is I get a lot of duplicate lines that come back and I don't know how to stop this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Obrigado, Natan
Hello sir, good explaination, but actually the error the you faced 'condition join not legal' is what happen to me as well but is actually what i need. I have to insert in INOB-OBJEK the material and then take the INOB-CUOBJ and put into KSSK-OBJEK. That's the query that i need. How can i link the INOB-CUOBJ with KSSK-OBJEK? Thank you
If you were to give the explanation in Portuguese only the final result would be more effective. Sometimes it was a bit difficult to follow your train of thought; however, technically it was good.
Hi, Can you please send me a screenshot from your Tables Join ? Send it to natan@natsolutions.com.br Also, you can try to change the left table. Example: Place MARA table as the very first table in the left, then you can place the other ones, like: MAKT (if you have two languages, system will duplicate material, so in the selection screen, you must select which language you desire to see the report), MARC (the same for Plants - define in the selection screen for which palnts you want to see the report), and MBEW. Hope it helps. Thanks, Natan
