This much knowledge combined with a bit of JavaScript (and jQuery), you can easily get a job. The guy shows everything from scratch which is the most important thing you will need when studying UI5.
This video is underrated, the guy shows everything from scratch which i actually needed. You can actually get a job in SAPUI5 if you everything that is shown in this video and a bit of JavaScript as well.
In step 27: When you are copy and pasting Invoices.json content and putting it inside the mockdata folder, the json is different than your git repo step 27. The one shown in the video is not working but the git repo Step 27 invoices.json is working. Its a great video
I am subscribed to Brandon's channel and he is an amazing instructor. I want to thank FCC Team for bringing this course on their platform as it will help more people appreciate this amazing technology called SAPUI5
Tried couple of example project, various tutorials, not much success, very outdated, errors etc., honestly this is probably one of the best if not the best tutorial to get started. Thanks Brandon!
Yes i would love that. But there is no one assembly language. Every Architecture has its own Instruction Set. I assume you mean x86-64, but i would love to see a full course for ARM Assembler.
I have view this Video over and over again, I have to point our Step 17 is really cute, Brandon has some small xml error on the code and he come back 3 times, it was halarious and very real. finally the close button works and you can see in his face he is really happy. Thank you Brandon not only sharing such useful walkthough demo but also make me laugh for the day!
im sorry just to clarify, what we are using here is OpenUI5 not SAPUI5 right? because to use SAPUI5 we need license and stuff, and i want to ask a question, how if i want to use SAPUI5? what i need to prepare? do i need to buy 1 of SAP product first? or maybe to use SAPUI5 it has to be use from fiori launchpad? thank you
Hey, both are exactly the same thing. It's just that SAPUI5 is licensed, not free. But OpenUI5 (and UI5 webcomponents) are open source. There is no major advantage, but SAPUI5 has much more controls and features that you can use. Everything else is the exact same.
To use fiori launchpad, you will need SAP WEBIDE, but it supports til v1.52 of UI5 which looks bad compared to today's standards. You can launch index.html and it will look 95% the same.
Hi guys. I'm really interested in learning SAP UI5 / Fiori. What are all the prerequisite that I need to know before started watching this video. Can someone explain please?
We require additional professional UI5 courses urgently. It's astonishing how limited the availability of this content is. I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with SAP due to this shortage.
I work for SAP and I have to agree! In fact, many of the content gets old really fast and many times it says the content is for newbies however it's not. On the other hand, it's not Brandon's fault. He's brilliant and his teaching skills are great!
can someone tell me why step 19 - Reuse Dialog is deprecated from sap ui5 documentation.? Also, if I follow the video and use the reuse dialog, things not working correctly. Any reason for that ??
Check version of your ui5. The way fragments are loaded is different for 3 general versions. You can check your version and open that same version in the demo kit and look in the fragment loading and events.
@Saketh Chagalamarri Hi, UI5 is easy, i am currently doing a full stack project and it isn't that hard. It is less complex than React, way less complex. All you need to understand is how XML is used for Views and JavaScript for other files. If you are not in an SAP field, recommend using OpenUI5.
Am I mad? I think at step 27 the part where you alter the invoices.json is missing, right? The outer brackets "{" and "}" need to be removed to work properly (as it is in the GitHub Repo)
Hello guys, amazing video. I'd like to know if some of you could help me with this, when installing the UI5 CLI I get an error, it says :"we don't recognize the npm term, check out if you spelled it correclty" Do you guys know how I can fix this. Thank you in advanced.
In the step2: Bootstrap, i quite cant understand why is sap.ui.define is used? I mean is it always used before we write any logic? Any help is much appreciated.
SAP has 5-6 extensions Available that you can install in VSCODE. The Annotation server isn't that readily helpful, but you can use any other XML formatter that works good.
I have installed node.js and tested with npm -v command. It give me node version. I am facing issue with @ui5/cli installation. the command npm install -g @ui5/cli works fine. But after that when I do ui5 --help I got message saying 'ui5' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. what is wrong I am doing?
SAP is both a company and the largest ERP system in the world. Having SAP experience or skills on your resume is a golden ticket if you can break into the market.
@@gradientO its unlike word press. And yes there is a lot of scope with most enterprises now transitioning to web SAP Fiori & ui5 is new and on the boom. However, you might also want to look into SAP enterprise web app development using fiori elements because thats where web app development (generally with js, html, css) hugely differs. It utilises something called the annotations .
Hey all, I have problem to understand lesson num19 about reusability, is there someone who can give me a hand? My brain kinda doesnt get it, I dont know why.
Reuse Dialogs 🙄 Something is wrong, that step doesn't exist on the SAPUI5 walkthrough. Also, it doesn't work if you follow instructions from the video.
@24:40 what? i mean it's not like web devs don't already do that with html, this looks like android devs trying to do webdev, over complicated, and i could write a better UI library than this. in fact i think svelte or the react team could do better than this. is this an older tech used by enterprise apps or something?
🤣 If you can write a better UI Library than UI5, you have my blessings. Sure its not the best out there, but the level of functionality present in it is 5X more than most UI libraries. It comes to good use when you are building applications that has a lot of data, and you need to implement multiple functionalities.
Can you help me pls? I have this error when i rum "npm install --global @ui5/cli" npm : The term 'npm' is not recognized as the name of a cmdlet, function, script file, or operable program. Check the spelling of the name, or if a path was included, verify that the path is correct and try again.
