Obviously the "brother" isn't very smart. His brother was NOT the cause of the shooting. The passenger was, as stated and viewed, in this video. So making the statement that his brother was compliant has no bearing on what occurred. The passenger shooting FIRST is what brought this to the ending it did.
AND the driver shouldve got out as soon as the cop asked, that wouldve saved his life, resisting the cops commands KNOWING your mate has a gun enabled his mate to get shots on the cop..that cost the idiot his life
If you have to ask why then I can't help you. Because apparently you have no idea what the job is like and most likely are not on tge up and up as a civilian . The video that is out on RU-vid Clearly shows that the passenger fired the first shot and was hit. And he did what his training was ment to do he took cover and put down the threat. And what do you want to bet the driver was killed by the guy in the truck not by the cop.... and that cop saved more then just his life it was early morning with kids going to school and people going to work that had nothing to do with anything thats why! And bet if you had a friend or family member shot and or killed at this shooting strict dude would be crying that the cops didn't do their job! So next time you want to ask why first answer why not a blind man can see it was a good shooting. Or better yet if someone shot at you what would you do? And let's not forget tge guy in the truck shot the cop first. So sorry someone in that truck died who was not shooting but its not the cops fault and if you think you can do better let's see how well you do when someone gets the drop on you first and you have a blink of an eye to protect yourself after you have already been shot so again if you want to question someone have a more intelligent one then just why
If someone was shooting at me, and I return fire, and hit someone else on accident and killed them, I would go to prison 100% of the time. Why does the cop get a pass?
I agree with you 100 percent, after all the officer was shot at 1st. He had to return fire, those in the truck received the consequences of their actions....

The unedited footage from the dash shows the cop after the initial shots fired.. just shooting all the passengers as they're basically motionless from behind. The guy who shot the cop is obviously a bad dude.. but the driver basically complied with him the whole time.. I actually think the driver might have been injured with the first barrage of bullets, but you do see him sorta slump over as the cop unloads into them from behind.. His mistake was having his seatbelt on looks like.. coulda just fell out after the first shots.. if he didn't still have it on.. maybe he woulda possibly survived.
@@getfamemombsc4184 Yeah, "basically compliing" isn't arguing with the cop for 2 minutes when he asks you to step out, all while hearing your passenger ask for the gun.
The driver didn't shoot at all. Only one person shot, and three people were shot in return. Aimed headshots. He fired like 7-8 times and two are dead. It was literally an execution because the cop was THAT good of a shot. The female passenger got down fast enough so she lived. If her head had been up I have no doubt she would have had a hole in hers, too. He shot the driver first for some reason so she had time to get down. Its really clear in the unedited footage how it went down. Three tight shots where the drivers head was and then two on the passenger.

That’s the mentality that led to the current state of policing in America… The “if you’ve got nothing to hide” argument. That’s all fine and good if you don’t understand the law and have never read the constitution, but if you have an understanding of the law, things become a lot less black and white… A badge isn’t a blank check/free pass, officers are in place to enforce the laws AS THEY ARE WRITTEN. Unfortunately, there are so many crooked officers that even the good ones end up sliding towards the middle or run out of their departments. I’m not speaking directly in relation to the footage shared here, just speaking in general terms.
@@jacksonbauer5199 No Jackson, t his has NOTHING to do with the "if you've got nothing to hide argument. This has to do with legitmate police officers making lawful stops and giving lawful commands which suspects REFUSE to obey. THIS Is where the problems start! But it starts even deeper. WHY do many suspects, especially black suspects, refuse to comply? Answer: They have been CONDITIONED to believe that it is the POLICE who are bad. Brother I don't have time to go into it but you need to start learning about the history of comm****M and what they have been up to in this nation. If I write too much YT will delete my comment. But I'm also familiar with history and I know 100% what is happening in our nation that so many are blind to. Why does it work so well as it has in the past? Because they are MASTERS of deception! Do your research and hopefully your eyes will be opened at who the real enemy is.
I almost vomited when I saw “do your research”… Look man, I’m almost 50. I have 20+ years of litigation experience and frequently speak at Law Schools around the country. Family says, "He was a good boy. The video doesn't show the whole story." Sure, just everything that matters. Remember, the officer was shot FIRST. Watch, this shootings, as most shooting are, will be ruled justified. The officer had to stop the threat, and if Barbosa was in the way, what was the officer supposed to do? Get shot and killed?
Barbosa was transporting a person who would shoot at a cop. The hostage situation is plausible, but highly unlikely.... Cop did a good job, unfortunately things happened as they did, because the passenger made everyone's decisions in that split second.
Family also forgot to mention he was going to go to college. These biased reporters need to apologize for not following up and arranging that sound byte.
Police involved in a shooting: It could take a year for the investigation. Officer gets shot, charges filed next day. Double standards harm public trust.
someone in the car shot the cop, when he shot back, he shot everyone in the car. How the hell was he supposed to differentiate who of the three shot him? His act was justified it was clear that the relatives of the shot see it differently but who cares??
Right. When you don’t know who’s shooting, just kill all of them. Definitely policy. Shooting at a high school? Just kill all the kids cause it could be any one of them. Quality logic.

It’s absolutely ridiculous to think this guy was being held hostage. He is completely responsible for who he allows into his car and life. That’s the law. He hung out with people who shoot cops and paid the price.
I commend this officer's actions. When you are fired on from a vehicle that you have stopped even if it's a traffic infraction and you are hit, all you have time to do is to return fire at the threat to save your own life. He did not have to see who had the gun to know he had been injured by a GSW from inside that vehicle. The driver is supposed to have control and dominion over his occupants. These same people used to be his friends. Well, they were criminals so his decision was to hang around criminals. That's not the officer's fault. Hate to say it but either way he was going to have a bad day any way you look at it. Think about it, if he had exited the car when the officer asked him to, he would have had an opportunity to inform the officer that he had been taken hostage and that the additional suspects had guns. He would have still been alive right? So he died because he did not want to be a snitch. But you want to blame the officer? He chose his path of life long time ago. What they want is to find a reason to file a wrongful death lawsuit. Get a job. It's unfortunate your brother died but he chose is own fate due to the lifestyle he led.

This is what happens when you "Hangout" with bad people. It's an unfortunate event but one that could have been avoided, simply put as an adult you need to make sure that the people you surround yourself with are sane and reasonable people if not then this is something that can happen. The video shows that the only person that was " Innocent " was the driver and he died because he was caught in a cross fire it happens when there is a shoot out. Both passengers are responsible for his death far more then the Police Officer that was involved, the woman for giving the man the gun and the Man for shooting at the Cop and don't forget that his "Friend" basically used him as a human shield... Oh and i would not be surprised if every one in that tuck had a criminal record including Barbarossa..

It doesn’t matter if it’s edited as long as it shows the basics of what happened. Passenger shot police officer and he returned fire. It’s right in video. The officer asked him to step out and he had a chance to do so if he was held “hostage”. He didn’t.

We say in Spanish: "Tell me who you go with and I'll tell you who you are". If he was a good man and afraid for his life from the passengers, he should took that opportunity to exit the vehicle immediately when the police asked. Admitting that was smoking marihuana and hanging with that kind of people, I don't think he was that innocent man that the family said. I'm glad the police man was able to manage the situation. Please be understanding if you see a policeman approached to you with his hand on the holster, as you see, they deal with this kind of situations everyday. TIP: When you get pull over, roll the windows down, turn the car off, turn on the dome light and everyone inside place the hands on the steering wheel and headrest. The police will ask you why you do that and tell them that you want to be sure he feels safe, that you appreciate what they do for the community. He will appreciate that, therefore you may get a break on the traffic violation. It works for me almost every time.

I hate to throw shade but kinda sounds like a family trying to capitalize and win some money in a wrong doing proceeding. The driver is hardly a hostage when he refuses to step out. And when your vehicle passenger shoots a cops finger off.. I hate to be blunt.. but choose your company better. Cuz your PASSENGER put the driver in the line of fire. Very sorry for that family none the less.
Shout out to the men and women of law enforcement. Dealing with the violent lowlife criminal SCUM on a daily basis. Good job officer, glad you're alright.
I have to disagree with nephew. This Cop was doing his job, driver was stalling so the passenger could figure out when to shoot. If the driver had gotten out of the car, he wouldn't have been shot, plain and simple. Driving around packing heat and drugs makes you a thug. Sorry, that policemen was shot, he defended himself and his competency was spot on. Stop defending your thug relatives. He got pulled over because smoking pot impaired his ability to use his blinker, stay at home and smoke people, this could have been prevented.
It doesn’t matter why he got pulled over. The bottom line is that they shot the officer and tried to kill him. They took the room temperature challenge and lost.
This is tragic but the company you keep determines a lot about how your life will end up. The driver had to know there was a gun in the car and even if he didn't he heard the passenger ask for the gun and did not stop his passenger from getting ahold of the gun. Also he was not complying with the officers demands to exit the vehicle. If he had exited the vehicle he might actually still be alive.

The officer was trying to survive after being shot at and hit and everyone shot in the car needed to be shot because they knew damn well what they was doing. Good job officer.
When you have no idea what you're talking about, you say things like this, it could be from emotions as well. The officer could have been dead within a nanosecond if the bullet was an inch or two to the left or right, missing his finger and going into hid chest. Returned fire is to the general vicinity of the threat, which was behind the driver. The driver, complicit in the crime or not, is guilty of the same crime for harboring a criminal. In fact, the driver if he didn't die, could have been charged with the death of his friend on the grounds of felony murder, depending on the laws in that state.
This is what happens when you allow people of low character to ride with you, for it does not matter whether you pull a firearm on a cop or not, but if somebody else in the vehicle does, innocent people often get killed.
