but this is not an opera singing competition - she dragged her act up, she changed the lyrics, she did the splits, she delivered comedy. This is an incredible showcase of creativity + talent. and people are rightly hyped

@@spinachpope I agree that her talent show was great! But I see a bunch of people saying things like "such a beautiful voice, she's so talented", and I agree she's talented, but on other specific areas, namely the ones you mentioned, rather than the voice.

@@TheSupahBishshe’s an amazing opera singer! She can sing high and low register! She’s literally singing while trying to emote at the same time it’s not as easy as you think.. most opera singers just sing. she did opera but dragged it up at the same time. This is not monet standing at the microphone singing. You can compare the two. But when you lack talent of course you say ignorant stuff like this. But I’m sure you thought mirage was everything !

@@icannot1104 No, I think Sapphira was rightfully top 2, but the focus of her talents should be on her comedic performance rather than her voice. Her performance was so great I can overlook the singing which wasn't that great, that's it. Everything else was so great that the singing is forgiven. Every comment I see mentions an amazing voice and I just can't agree because it isn't. What I mention in my comment is a great comedic performance! And unlike what you said, why I can't appreciate her singing that much is because I enjoy opera and I am a classical musician (I don't sing, still classically trained). Her vowels are not good and she could not hit the notes. The intonation had some issues especially when jumping from a lower register into a higher one and these details are screaming if you're classically trained. And if you think opera singers just sing, you are surely mistaken, look for Diana Damrau's performance of the Queen of the Night aria from Mozart's Magic Flute. It's amazing from a technical point of view, despite her emoting and moving. Mirage's performance was by far the best of the other 5, top 2 was rightfully Q and Sapphira.
