Wow. Just wow! Blown away by the lyrics, the music and the singers.

When John sings the part about being in a burning building and being told to stay still, I can’t think of anything but 9/11 when those poor people were leaping to their deaths to escape a death of melting flesh and explosions. I watched that on live TV in my high school chemistry class. I have nightmares about that to this day. It hurt me so badly that, as a teenager, I would scream into my pillow and tense up all my muscles as if I just wished or prayed hard enough, I could turn back time and save those people from that awful fate. Even now as an adult I have to shake my head and have a pillow shout to try and stop myself from feeling what they felt. I hate how my brain makes me feel it (as if I could ever fathom how it really feels anyway). Ugh… so yea, can’t listen to this song ever again. Cheers.

This holds so close to me. I left my 6 year relationship because it became abusive because of his alcoholism. Sometimes love is not enough.
