This video probably sums up best everything that I absolutely love about this woman. I'm eternally in love with her and her empowering music - she's beautiful, smart, wonderful, inspiring, and the perfect role model. Sara Bareilles gives me courage, and makes the world a brighter, better place.Thank you Sara for being the best person ever.
What's wrong with only playing to 7 people? That's like a small family gathering or friends hangout where a lot of people perform, even after they are big names..
ringsiderebel Please stop. I'm pretty sure he didn't have an agenda behind his comment. Stop attacking men based off your feministic brain. Nothing wrong with feminism just take it too far sometimes.
She (or he) was actually right. Maybe the interviewer didn't have an 'agenda' but it was sloppy of him to reinforce the tired old stereotype that women are either sweet or empowered. It contributes to the silly attitudes people have about women in power not being 'likable.'
mysticsmb So women can't be called "nice" anymore? He simply said "your songs are so straight forward but you're so nice", that's not enforcing a stereotype. I highly doubt he even thought about any type of stereotype while giving this interview.
"She seems so sweet" Then her song, Sweet As Whole sums it up. "Sometimes I can be perfectly sweet Got this sugary me stuffed in my sleeve And I talk of ponies and rainbows and things And I'm just who you want me to be But like most creatures down here on the ground I'm composed of the elements moving around And I grow and change and I shift and I switch And it turns out I'm actually kind of a bitch But that only happens when I get provoked By some piece of shit asshole we all sadly know And I sit and I write while reminding you all That mean songs are still better than going postal" And it because of this, that I have been a fan since 2007. Sara is amazing, and her music has helped me more than any other album.
Thank you for posting this piece that CBS News saw fit NOT to post themselves, excluding those of us who are cable subscribers but are away from a television for an extended period the opportunity to see content we have to right to watch. Why they don't post the entire program, like they do “Face the Nation” and most of their prime time lineup is beyond me. Someday they will understand that they are missing out on eyes by not making their sponsored content available anywhere on any screen.
Fan 4 LIFE. EPIC SARA, AMAZING BAREILLES - Love all her songs, albums, LIVES & interview, quirky, cool sassy & REAL, Super Talented & an A Truly Amazing Artist. She just keeps getting better, braver & more Brilliant 🎧🙏♥️🌎🔥💎
The most talented entertainer alive. I love everything about her from her music to what she did with Waitress (a great experience seeing it on Broadway), her little book about her songs and of course the fact that she is beyond beautiful.
you ever listen to a song so much that you end up feeling sentimental about it and it just brings back all the memories of that first moment or all the moment of when you listened to this song.... Well that song for me was sara's love song and i remember it playing over and over..
I LOVE you, Sara! Love the song, the dancers, the melting pot of people you surround yourself, your bravery in confronting the surreal political landscape we are currently navigating.
Katy Perry's song will be forgotten and Sara's will still get consistently played on radio stations years from now after Perry's will have faded in the dust. Sara has more talent in her little finger than Katy has in her entire body!
She seems like such an awesome lady, honest and unfiltered! As Robin Williams character in "Good Will Hunting" said; "...people call these things imperfections, but they're not. Oh, that's the good stuff.".
dude since when is sticking up for yourself surprising? the interviewer basically said oh you look like such a sweet woman, i would never imagine you standing up for yourself and like writing a song where you call people out and express your feelings? like how dare you be empowering and rebellious and a woman. interviewer man you need to stop.
