OK. If I really like a guy I dont care at all if he wears shorts or has a stained T-shirt, or if he takes me to a place that is not Irish. When I like a guy, I like him, not what he does. He doesn't have to do certain things to impress me, I'm already impressed by him. That's what I called a connection from soul to soul. I guess after learning to love and respect myself much more than before, I would only fly to Ireland on a date if I knew that I wanted to be with him without any other expectations or things I wanted him to do for me.
Sounds like settling. I think a guy has to be pretty dumb to be dressed like that for dinner, with a woman that went through so much effort to see him. His appearance and inability to plan a date in his own backyard tells me he's lazy when it comes to relationships. To be unprepared to pay the bill, to expect a woman from another country to pick a restaurant, just sounds like there was zero effort put forth. You have to have some expectations of how you want to be treated, otherwise you don't really rate respect very high, and then you get what you settle for. What do you guys think?
