@Acer Acres Thanks, I'll check it out. These videos are my life outside of my room since I now reside in an assisted living complex. Thanks again my friend. Do take care and stay safe.
Great job for her first time. My dad taught me to double clutch my first time. We sat in the parking lot with the engine off while he was teaching me how to go through the gears. When I started driving he taught me how to float gears. It's a lot harder then holding a steering wheel. Your a great teacher Andy.
I know this was over a year ago, But it speaks to Sarah's abilities! As I found your farm only a few months ago and viewed Sahara driving efficiently as all your crew! God Bless!
Thanks for the ride along Andy & Sarah. Good job Sarah, you can do anything in this world with a good attitude and confidence. You have both and thanks for being a good dad Andy, all of you children are learning critical life skills and are years ahead of their peers. 👍👍
Absolutely great job Sarah 💪 point A to point B and back safely. This video might just be one of my favorites Andy. Great job with Sarah and I laughed and cried the whole video.
You must feel great about the opportunity to teach your lovely daughter to drive large trucks, and you are good at it! I think she did "very" well and I also believe she wants to make you proud of her which I'm sure you are. I also have a daughter but never had the opportunity to do this with her because of a soul-wrenching divorce. By the time I had access to her she had grown into a young women in her late 20's but you can bet that I feel so grateful to have that contact with her now. Daughters are special and can touch your heart in so many ways. Thanks for sharing your video!!
Very very good Sarah!! When I was in drivin school back years ago, you done better than 85% percent of the entire class of about 30 of us!! You'll be floatin the gears and usein those mirrors like its second nature before long. It gets a lot more fun. But it gets alot more serious too. Just listen to pappy and you'll be fine. You got a good teacher.
Its great seeing you teaching your children how to drive equipment. I learned to drive a car in the Sierra Nevada Mountains here in California when I was 14. I love the sound of a Jake brake working. In the summer I would wake up to the sound of Kenworth logging trucks coming down a 6% grade with a load of logs with the Jake brake talking.
Sarah done great for first time driving a dump truck atleast shes willing to get out on the farm and want to learn theres not many girls on the farm that would want to learn all your kids need to lighting up quit being so shy tell her keep practucing driving out in the fields it come to her for she knows it its good you take the time to learn your kids and teach them
Awesome job, another great video that shows how mature and responsible farm kids are. Many at her age can't get a Prius down the road in a safe manner and wouldn't have a clue with something like she is driving.
She did very well. That was a good teaching methods for her. She seemed very calm and well tempered under pressure. Nice video stay safe and farm on my friends !
Way to go Sarah, god bless you!! Just remember that when that truck is loaded down with haylage or silage, it's a different animal. Also, Andy could you buy her a hat so she doesn't have to fight her hair?!?! Lol
You are a awesome father. I have been driving for years and you did great teaching her. She did really good , I know guys who are heavy hauling that aren't much better 😜. Great Video Well done Andy.
Don't you have to dabble clutch that truck. Tell Sarah she doneing good for her first time driving a truck just remember to get off the throttle the same time as you push the clutch in. I drive truck for 50 years I think I know a little something about trucks Love seeing you and your sister working with your dad
Great job Andy Sarah did a great job driving that beautiful truck It’s not easy with those hills it’s great to see your kids interested and working with you Love that You kept praying I thought you were going to pull out your rosemary beads
Be careful or she'll want to take the c5 to school. 😉 Before you know it she'll let the air out of her seat and be shifting without clutch supertrucker style. 🤣😂🤣
Always a leap of faith teaching driving and no better way then realtime gear jamming. She did great and you are developing her to have strong self confidence. Just what good Dads have to do. Look forward to the next
Poppa the terror in yours eyes was overcome by the smile your face!!!! Congrats to Sarah and to you Poppa... Soon she be jamin better then the boyz!! Go gett'm Girl! We all have faith you and I say that as a Father of 7 daughters and 15 Granddaughters!
That is awesome before my grandpa died he taught me to drive the little truck and dump truck on the farm in Idaho I ran the truck myself in the field with and without load for fun and to park it next to the shed as well moving to one side of the field or another without license sarah you are lucky to have a dad who will teach you farming I had to wait until summer to play with the trucks and tractor and have to fly to and from Idaho from where I lived as a kid you are right their in the middle of it I have one word for you on top of all other awesome
well done Sara ,, brilliant on your driving big truck ,, not many can do that skill,, more practice more confidence ,, stay safe over there ,,all the best from UK
Now that's what I call a good start into a wednesday! Having breakfast listening to Andy's commentary 😅 Nicely done Sarah 👍 I wish one could do such things overhere, but guess what... You'll need a licence first 🙄
So Sarah I think you did a Great job ,bring back memories when I learned how to drive truck , actually I think your doing better than I did lol GREAT JOB
Takes me back a few years. Was shown how to shift non-synchronous transmission, was asked if I understood, fine then, you are now on your own, DRIVE, no co-pilot adviser. Those were different days, The world of insurance scrutiny & liability, dramatically different now.
She will be one of the few girls her age that can drive a manual transmission! I'm glad to see you teaching her! She will make a great wife for a lucky young man!
Your kids are amazing! It's so cool that you teach them at such young ages to do things that most adults never even get to do in their lifetime. Very cool!
I saw your other video and asked about caz equipment, and now I see your hourigan shirt and i know some people who work there through my grandparents, and Nancy hourigan I think actually found the house I’m in right now for us. If it is what I think it is then I’ve seen you guys in the field and your farm too.
Hi Andy! I did not know a transmison can do that! You keeped very come whit a smile . What a good teacher you are and a great man whit a hearth for this humanity to chare the best of you whit the planet. ♥️ Thanks ! Andy Hourigan the great! and all of your team and family. For the smoke show ,kids need to play sometime before the see another vision of themself whit the évolution pushing every one.
Great job Sarah are you doing really good - should be proud of you guys it’s nice to see you nice video tape once you get out of work are you guys keep doing the good work and keep those videos coming great job have a good day bye to Massachusetts
She did a lot better than some people I know who have been driving for years. I am trying to find a standard shift farm truck for my 14 year old daughter to learn with. Love the prayer part. Next, no clutch shifting.
Sarah, do what Dad means, not necessarily what he says... lol. You were awesome at the first truck driving lesson.. so much to do by voice command.. soon it will feel real natural and everything will flow together. Congratulations... a good teacher. Very calm, as you were..
