She has such a beautiful jump technique. Once she really leans into that choreo, she's going to be such a force to be reckoned with. That's not to discredit how good she already is, just pointing out that her ceiling is so high. Congratulations to her for two fabulous skates and the gold!
She definitely has a high ceiling. I mean the only thing really holding her back is the fact that she has some ur issues on x-3t combos, but once she figures that out (which I'm sure she will with such excelent jump coaches as Tatiana and Roman) she will get 200+ scores any day of the week.
@@wanchunhu3994 she’s almost 18, not just 17, and her consistency has decreased since she came to seniors. She doesn’t even attempt the 3lz-3lo she used to do (she rarely succeeded). Add this to her very (too) conventional style and she doesn’t really stand out, artistically and technically. And that’s what you need, especially when your counterpart (here, Amber), takes more risks, on both aspects. In figure skating, 18 is not the age where you improve technically. If you didn’t got consistency or more difficult elements before, you’ll likely never get them after that.
@@Nunelii I agree Isabaau is playing it too safe and her jumps are failing her. But Amber is almost 25 is still has not found consistency. Sure she could turn it around, but I have more hope for up-and-comers like Ava Ziegler and Sarah. I think this season is Amber's last chance to figure it out. We'll see.
It's interesting, I watched this program right after watching Isabeau's, and it really puts them in stark contrast with each other. You can see how much each one has what the other one needs. Sarah's interpretation needs maturing, compared to Isabeau's nuanced and elegant expression, but Sarah's jumps leave Isabeau's in the dust. Given that Isabeau has had two seasons in seniors now to improve those jumps and doesn't seem to have changed a thing, my money's on Sarah for the future. She looks like someone whose interpretation will improve. Someone used the word "ceiling" in another comment, and that's exactly what I'm seeing here....Isabeau is probably pretty much at her ceiling, while Sarah's seems sky high. Looking forward to seeing her grow!
Very strong skate! I don't love the costuming, it feels too on the nose for Firebird? In any case I think she'll be a frontrunner at Nationals if she continues to skate consistently.
Love her jumps but really not crazy about the packaging, everything from the music, the choreo not really suiting her or letting her personality shine and can’t help but to compare it to Gracie’s iconic firebird. But that’s just my 2 cents, people seem to like this program so what do I know 😅
Her jumps are very good. Need work on the presentation and please work on the position of the forward camel spin. I don't think any skater who started skating as a little kid should have a poor camel position. It doesn't take that much time to work on stretching every day to achieve better body positions.
