Wow... sounds like them socialist, liberal ideals are exactly what that thar Jebus feller talks about so much in the book the GOP's always on about.

Policywise, I agree with almost everything Bernie says. I just don't know if using the term "Democratic Socialist" is that good an idea in the USA. The right uses the term to constantly muddies the water to make people think that he wants to turn us into the USSR, China or Venezuela. Meanwhile, the REAL left, the Marxist Leninists who actually do want to do something like that, keep pointing out that it does not fit the classical definition of Socialism because it does not seek to eliminate Capitalism. It just wants the ultra rich to be taxed more to cover more social programs (including education and healthcare.) I think Nom Chompsky nailed it during Bernie's presidential campaign. Bernie Sanders is a new Dealer. Every president from Franklin Rosevelt to Richard Nixon was a new dealer. But the conversation has shifted so far to the right that being a new dealer now looks like being a radical leftist. But using the term socialist, which, in the USA, is associated with REAL radical leftists, makes it easier to do that.

Democrats need to elect Bernie. But let's face it, he looks healthy, but age could get to him while in office... Thus Bernie needs to have a vice president who America thinks is truthful and who will fight as hard as he would for progress.

India is a Democratic Socialist country. We have had a fully functioning continuous democracy for 70 years (except for 1 brief period of Emergency) and we chose to go the way of Socialism for the first 60 years of our history. It absolutely stagnated us as a 3rd world country. The unions write all the labor laws, so that no employee can get fired unless they got approval from a government bureaucrat. Food prices are kept artificially low so that people can eat, but artificially high so that farmers could earn more money. Schools, transit, and Hospitals used to be run by the government only, and they're filthy and hardly functioning. Complicated tax code, regulation, high tariffs. India is just starting to shake off the shackles of Democratic Socialism, and we are growing at 8% per year, lifting millions out of poverty. Trust me America, you do NOT want to try Democratic Socialism.

Socialism, like schools, roads, the military and space force. Please don’t forget space force. This we need but fuck socialised healthcare, how would those poor insurance companies survive without the billions of dollars we the people pay them every year.

It's human. It's fine. What's not fine is you acting like it's just them doing it, and what's not fine is for dialogue to break down.
