Heard this song 8 years ago when I was only 22. For some reason I have it associated with a feeling of being comfortable with who I was, being anxiety free...just feeling free, I guess. Clementine became a state of mind for me that I wanted to keep or pursue in my life, i loved the idea so much that it became permanent on my skin, a constant reminder to myself that there is a 'place' where I can love myself.

For me, it's a song about disappointment and becoming cynical with age. I've been in a relationship for 5 years, very committed and willing to work on problems, trying to find hobbys we could share and being supportive in difficult times. And got dumped, because he decided that he wants to discover the world and i'm a burden. "All that time wasted". Now, I would like to have someone special, but it's difficult to believe that I would be able to trust and won't get rejected anyway. And I wish I could go back in time, to this teenage naivete and innocence and have faith in true love again.

I love how this is unanimously everyone’s teenage song. I used to listen to this when I was 15/16 and now returning to it at 22 after reading it being mentioned in my diary :,)

I've been coming back to this song for years. I first listened when I was younger, eager to get out and change my life into something amazing. I used to listen and dream about travelling the world and moving to a new city to start a new, more exciting life. Then I listened as I did all of those things. Now I'm listening wondering where I'll go next. I am still at the start of my journey and already have the best memories from the past few years. Life has so much beauty when you allow yourself to see it.

for me, this song is about growing up and changing the way you perceive things and relationships. The girl changed her mind and feelings (and probably burned some bridges) and she is thinking about the wasted time and about the things she wants to change about herself. "I wish I was a little more delicate" describes me a lot because I'm 6 feet tall and kind of tomboyish so I'm not exactly "delicate". Sometimes I wish I could go back but I've grown out of it

This song reminds me of the summer 2013 with my best friends. Long trips, bonfires on the beach, crazy parties, late night talks about who we were and what we wanted to do in this life, and our first heartbreaks. It’s crazy how everything changed. Listening to this brings me back to the bittersweet ending of our stories, but I guess all stories are like that, it’s what makes them epic.

One of those random clicks i 'll never regret, much better than so many super advertised, commercial bands on top of the charts that i tend to forget after a couple of days. Songs like this instead remain :)

I used to listen to this all the time when I was 14 y.o , usuallly when walking back home from school . I was living in my own little world during those little euphoric moments ... it just reminds me of when everything was much more simple , when life didn't get too heavy yet . I still come back to it every now and then especially during october and man it hits home

What a nostalgic feeling coming back to hearing this song. I love how it begins and ends. It's like one of those memories you reminisce on every now and then, a snapshot of your life no better or worse but it was just so different, it just comes out of nowhere and then you lay it down just as quickly as you picked it up.
