Chillrah “Film nerds” says the dumbass who’s original post is an unsolicited commentary on his love and appreciation for an actress he’s never met. What a moron
@@ДорианГрей-ъ4ш How she reacts at it..someone who liked to act in a movie will know if she had fun or not. She would talk about differently and more positive. Which means reading between lines. You're welcome
@@iamsultana Give people credit. We all have a degree of emotional intelligence and can spot fake niceness when we see it. The OP actually met Sarah in person. You did not. Kim is just bitter.
QtheReactor I think it’s the opposite. She just said that she doesn’t like to watch her on screen in general (not Hocus Pocus only), it’s common for actors to don’t watch their movies. If they do watch, they’ll probably be nitpicking about their performance the whole movie.
I have it and wanna watch it but I have so much stupid homework I got it the day after Halloween lol I have to say I was surprised she hasn't watched it more than once she looks different without all the makeup and I was sad when I found out that she was not a real Blonde oh well but ya still has the high voice tho
That’s not real acting, it’s typecasting which is an annoyance for professional actors. I’m sure SJP would like to be noted for her other roles and not just Carrie Bradshaw.
i really like her acting and she seems pretty down to earth. because of her childhood i assume. i dislike the scrutiny towards her looks. she has a special type of look that makes you want to keep staring at her. i think that is her inner beauty shining through.
Look, she's not what most people would call ugly, the _horse-face_ reference was attributed to how long and skeletal her face is - with the very long chin and nose. _Horse-face_ was first used around the time she was pictured very publicly without any makeup... which if you see those pictures you can't really continue saying she's pretty, again she's not ugly but average at best. The point is; professional makeup artists, lighting engineers, and editors can make *_anyone_* look 1000% better than they _actually_ are.
I can usually spot phoniness a mile away, whether in a celebrity or non-celebrity. Have always found SJP to be one of the nicest, realest, and most unaffected people in show biz. She’s also apparently found the fountain of youth because she looks better & better all the time...and she has the most amazing hair. Smart, funny, attractive and a truly gifted (but under appreciated) actress...she’s the real deal.
I’ve always really liked her ever since I first laid eyes on her in Square Pegs. And how could they not ask her about Girls Just Want To Have Fun?? THAT movie is the one that put her on the map.
SJP is remarkably humble, kind, generous, loving, fun, witty, caring, brilliant and flexible actor! Always speaks highly of everyone with whom she's worked with... she's incredibly approachable, her fans adore her, she's reserved, doesn't like the spot light, I've had the pleasure of interacting with her in the industry. She's an incredible lovely woman both inward and outward! Ran into her while vacationing in Greece! A magical country!💃♥️💃
Legendary actress. Iconic. I wish she could focus more on acting and take bigger roles in movies. But again, she can go on a island for forty years and she will always remebered
She comes across as supremely articulate and thoughtful about her experiences. She's has been done a great disservice with the focus on her looks when she is such a striking and accomplished woman !
Never thought of myself as a Sarah Jessica Parker fan, but I guess I am. Every film she talks about I own and have watched dozens of times since they came out.
I love this so much. If you want to get a better idea of her as a person, I highly recommend watching her episode of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" with Jerry Seinfeld.
How gorgeous was SJP in LA Story. Her best feature is still her big smile. I love her subtle stuttering and thoughtfulness before answering questions. She’s a bit pretentious, but it’s oddly elegant...
Def the lighting but also adding black liner to her lower lid and a purple eyeshadow is meant to make blue eyes pop. It's a trick of the eye - literally ;)
A combination of the lighting in the studio and as she’s been older she uses a lot of liner to direct your eyes to her eyes. I think she’s well aware it’s one of her better features.
I adore how she loves all of her characters and she talks about all of them without shame💜💜💜 Really, she's so iconic and an amazing person. She's an absolutely QUEEN👑 Queen of NY Queen of Salem Queen of Vegas Queen of LA Queen of fashion *QUEEN OF THE WORLD* 🌏 👑
I'm so old I have been a fan since she was in a show called Square Pegs. I wouldn't put allot of stock in the fact she really didn't talk about Hocus Pocus. She may have been going through something in her personal life.
Loved her in First Wives Club too! She also did a small role in the movie Flight of the Navigator, which I just remembered. Not iconic, but looking at younger pictures of her reminded me.
I love SJP I feel like she’s so well spoken and beautiful!

hey @GQ ! Maybe put the timestamps of each film in the description? There are some movies shes talking about that I haven't seen and I don't want spoilers lol
It's obvious she didn't want to talk about Hocus Pocus and that the experience may not have been a pleasurable one for her. She didn't say anything nice about the actors just complained that it took a long time and they had to shut down production. Considering she worked with Bette on two different movies I find it strange she wouldn't have mentioned her.
Yes, it does seem like SJP is always reluctant to discuss Hocus Pocus. My one guess is that the part she played was a virtual non-character who just had to skip around and look pretty. She wasn't given much to do and so maybe it wasn't artistically satisfying and, therefore, memorable for her. Every time she talks about it she only ever mentions the special effects and technical details like being suspended on wires.
Agree with this in full. I remember seeing an interview where she discussed how many of the scenes she shot did not make it in the final movie - which she expressed as being disappointing. Perhaps coupled with an unpleasant shooting experience, this could contribute to her reluctance to discuss the film.
@@SexAndCandyHair92 Hmm, that could be but the only thing about that is I remember seeing photos of Bette visiting SJP on the set of SATC 2. I was under the assumption they had always been friends.
The sexism is palpable in the entertainment industry SJP is attractive in an unconventional way but the media makes fun of her looks but men who are oddly attractive they’re heralded for their appearances like Jeff Goldblum, Adam Driver, Willem Defoe
SJP seems like the type of person you want to go spend the weekend at her place when youre having a breakdown and talk about your problems. She would make you a little soup give you a blanket you would smell her perfum and you could take all her kindness in.
Sarah is gorgeous in Hocus Pocus, Striking Distance, and LA Story. Three of my favorites. Oh, and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun with Helen Hunt. Another favorite.
I have ZERO understanding how they did not include First Wives Club in her "Iconic Characters"! Shelly was such a great nemesis and willing participant to Bette Midler's character, Brenda!
I'm a guy but I gotta admit: I have always been jealous of how photogenic Sarah is! Lol. Almost every photo I see her in she's looking stylish and knows how to pose to look good. :)
Because the roles were decades ago, and relatively small portions of her whole life. Imagine having many jobs that last 3 months at most and then trying to delve into deep memories 30 years later when asked about them all.
i also have seen that she tries to choose her words very carefully. i would imagine after being interviewed for yeeaaarrrsss that she’s aware things can come off the wrong way. so now she uses precise vocabulary and really thinks about her answers rather than just blurting stuff out. that’s my thought, anyway. :P
@@rachaelhsolomon yes you are right. I think they are trying to diffuse the light on her face because she has a lot of wrinkles, mostly for being still so thin while growing older
Watch Sarah’s stint with Jerry Seinfeld in “comedians in cars having coffee”. Her appeal, IMO, is in the whole package...looks, humor, intelligence, honesty.
