The first time I listened years ago I loved the beauty of the message. But now it's so much more powerful because I've internalised all the truths she shares.
I remember purchasing this book (one of my favorite poems) when you came to my high school (wow.. almost ten years ago?), and I loved this poem for the mom I could one day be. Now I read it to my daughter, turning one this week.. and I love it even more. Thank you, Sarah.
I remember in college, my professor in a major education course used to let us pick a TED talk and present it in class, I chose this. One of my all-time favourite.
@@anjel1884 its another person's opinion friend. If it doesn't fit your idea of it... it doesn't really mean a whole lot to either Carolyn or to Sarah. That is what creative work is all about. Some like your work, some hate it. But none who are creative artists attempt to either vilify other's for their likes and dislikes or attempt to shove their opinion down someone else's throat.
this is so incredibly vapid and hollow, nothing could be emptier except those who applaud it or believe it has substance; damn, you people need to try and read some.
@@hariomkushwaha9773 lol youre crazed. you like a poem that is harmful where she just assumes what her daughter will be like and enjoy and stereotypes her, plus that god awful singing job in the middle of the poem is so random, uneeded, and straight up stupid. Hariom, get a life.
@@anjel1884 haha you r funny (love the personal attacks on me but I'm more self depreciating so i don't feel bad and i initiated that so prolly well deserved). Secondly, I honestly don't want to argue with you bcz you are probably a kid still in school and i don't want to waste my energy on this bcz i have realised long ago, that you can't change opinion of someone who doesn't want to. So have a nice day😂
