I attended Lilith Fairs all over the USA and had the pleasure of seeing many different line ups. My heart is still open to the incredible energy of those concerts.
still has maritime accent, just like me , been downunder for few years. still people not sure where my sound of my voice is coming from.lol Sarah is my hero from day one of her first hit.
Sarah I’m a fan of you !!!When Christmas music is on 106.7 lite f m and a bunch of your music comes on I get SO excited also I remember listening to I will remember you from the radio that is totally awesome!!!!!
Such a beautiful album if not artist, I’ve been listening to the album on repeat today. Sarah is one of my personal favorites. Whenever I’m gong through a sad or difficult period such as lately.😔🥀 I listen to her music, her ballads certainly touch deep down in the heart and spirit. I’ve had so much loss and abandonment lately. Shine On touches on a lot of my personal pain and can relate a lot to what she was even singing about, “Song For My Father” reminds of my own dad whom passed and I miss him so much.😢 I also am adopted like Sarah McLachlan is, and there is still personal pain of having my parents or what it would’ve been like having them. Thank you Sarah for all of your amazing songs and heart touching music. 💛
I went to Lilith Fair in Vancouver at UBC Thumberbolt Stadium. and Sarah was the highlight of the evening. She was fantastic, charming and very entertaining. A true talent ! A great evening. I also enjoyed Diana Krall that night.
I love Sarah McLachlan I have alot of CD of her I have three nieces Emily is 17 Nora is almost 13 in December the day after Christmas and Charlee is 2 year old she is almost 3 in June 25 Nora is volleyball and basketball player
She is my favorite female singer. My favorite male singer is John Bon Jovi. I so wish they would do a duet togather. Would love a combo of their two famous songs Angel and livin on a prayer.
A tall strong woman with the perfect nose. What's not to love? I wish she'd do more new content. Things were so much better back then when you could escape this not so lovely world created for us by others by buying the next great CD. This gorgeous picture book with video on disc and pretty awesome music too. Now what do we have? For the price of a CD, you can buy one song on iTunes that you can't resale if you hate it. And even if it was a great recording, it sounds rubbish compressed.
She's spot on with her statement that females of this generation are more complacent in their attitudes toward feminism. Strong women like Sarah are hyper-vigilant. Brava!
I know the answer to my own question from you haters with serious self esteem issues... "money". So don't even bother replyin to this comment when you know who you are. However... I still have to question the Gods of all that is Existence today... why on Earth does this woman keep looking more beautiful as the years go by? Yes I know she sings like a Goddess so my fanboy cred is estabb'd ok? I mean she doesn't look like she's ever had plastic surgery once in her life... but she's.. Gorgeous! Women take note.. this is how u stay ever young!
I think I am becoming a feminist lol... I have always admired Sarah and loved witnessing the rise of Canadian female artists liker her, Celine, and Alanis making it big in the US during the late 90s. The story behind the naming of the all-women festival is amazing, with its standoffish tone. Lilith was (in Jewish folklore) Adam's first wife and she, unlike Eve supposedly, refused to bow down to him and submit to his will.
I hate to say this, but I think what's going on is that culture is, for lack of a better term..."shittier" than it was back in 97-99. I think the quality of mainstream music has dropped exponentially. The Lilith Fair came at a great time in popular culture when people were paying attention to different musical styles and specifically, singer/songwriters. People were open and excited about a brave new world that encompassed the values that we were all feeling. But something awful happened. And that "awful" is what we see reflected in mainstream music today. To be successful in music today, you need a mass-marketing conglomerate behind you that has an endless pit of wealth to promote your product. Everything that is successful in today's music climate is a corporate product with a dollar-based bottom-line. It is completely soulless. That is why the only music you hear on popular radio stations is corporate pop. These beats and pop/catchy sounds are all that the youth is exposed to and all that they respond to. The result is a cultural dredge that is bereft of heart, soul and spirit.
I have to agree, some of the movies, tv shows and music popular today just aren't appropriate for kids. They are being made to grow up too fast. Can't we let them keep their innocence longer? They will be exposed to the ugly side of life soon enough.
I love her, I think. She is confusing to me. I think she is capable of abusing her female super hero powers when she gets a little selfish and domineering:/ Flip side, how amazing to see the powers unleash when need be...😯 Not sure if she wrote all her music or most, but if she did create most, wow, where in your head did that come from! She has an old soul I think maybe. I want to know her but she scares me. Guess ill go to drawing board for learning and teaching to self my scarey fighting techniques for anymore future friendships, lol, so thanks for scaring me, i guess it's a good lesson and training in life with relationships. All fair in love and war. Can't go into anything without knowing how to fight. Learned that the hard way, not knowing, over and over and over.
madonna isn't in that level either...actually, its more of a michael jackson and evlis level.....ha. 400 million is insane..I sure hope he meant 40 million because that's how much she actually sold.
Themanwhocameback2 is that all you have to comment about? her alleged work done? didnt you even losten to the interview? Out of all the intellectual topics she touched on, her looms is all you can comment on? Come on, that a little shallow!
My god she is a mix of Kathleen Kennedy and the woman of fotomodels recruiting Epstein. Maybe she is also evil? Must be with that hallucinating song "Delerium" But i love that song in Tiesto remix.
If I might ask a question,,The poster you replied to saw her as self righteous. You saw her as confident, yet you saw the poster's comment as "odd". Interesting! Why was it odd? Because it didn't marry up with your own opinion?
haruhiistnumber5 I didn’t notice any self righteousness. I’m completely shocked you even got that impression? Especially when there are so many other artists that really convey such qualities all the time. I saw a genuine, kind, relatable person.
