Fun fact ....I was one of her Truck drivers on the 1998 Lilith Fair Tour !!! Was a fantastic Summer touring around America and Canada with my wife in the truck. She treat us like gold the whole tour, such a great voice and wonderful person.
I went to a couple of those Lilith Fairs. Been too long to remember if it was '98 without looking it up though! 😆 My band used to cover Possession. It was one of the only songs I played bass on (I'm primarily a guitarist) because I had to sing that harmony part and the bass was more consistent rhythmically. It always went down well! Sarah is a fantastic songwriter and a beautiful soul.
So many unique artists came out of the 90s and Sarah was one of the best. She looks and sounds awesome here. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is a masterpiece and really transports you back to that amazing era of music.
The album 'Fumbling Towards Ecstasy' absolutely floored me when it came out-for months and months I listened. This brings me back to a time and place I cherish now.
@@dubaidaddy13me too’ I remember falling asleep to it as a teen. It was so comforting. This album is in my top 5 albums of all time if not in my top 3.
One of very few artists who has proven time and time again that she sounds even better LIVE, than on her albums. Her and her band are nothing short of immaculate up on any stage.
wow, 1994, what a year for music!! Fumbling Toward Ecstasy was an absolute amazing CD I played over and over. It was just the beginning of the rocket ship for her. She is still amazing and looks amazing too.
She hasn't lost a step...still at the top of her game. Sounds and looks amazing. I love that they prominently show the backup singer...instead of hiding her behind a screen, or even worse, using a pre-recorded track. A++++ all around!
Kelly Clarkson promotes her backup singer. She introduces her and lets her sing some solo moments because Kelly always says how amazing she is. It's nice when you see an artist do that.
she aged REALLY well. I forgot I had a massive crush on her voice 27 years ago. When it feels like they are singing to [you] -they’re doing it right. Which doesn’t always translate over audio alone.
she has Def aged. she's rocking blonde hair... with dark hair you would see those wrinkles better. and the overall her face is not as full. and the body has def aged, her arms are twice the size they used to be. she looks great.. but let's not drink the kool aid the aging signs are EVERYWHERE
That's why you have to go see her in concert! She's on the road right now playing the entire Fumbling Towards Ecstasy album!! It is the touchstone to that period of my life.
Wow. I’ve always thought that this is one of the most beautiful and powerful songs ever written. This just took me back to a time that I yearned for a love that would lift me out of darkness.
One of the very best! Beautiful songwriter, phenomenal voice! I have listened to her music for many years and many nights.. I can’t get enough of her! Just wish that she would have created more music, because her music touches my soul!
This is the best performance I've ever seen on Jimmy Kimmel show. I don't make a habit to watch it, but I'm so glad I saw this. This song got me through so much hardship growing up, and inspired me to use music as a means of healing and self therapy. Every lyric in this song is precious, and so is Sarah. Glad to see her healing hearts again. I wish her all the very best as she tours America again.
As a Canadian we obviously all know each other. I used to work with a guy that went to high school with Sarah. He described her as smart, geeky and really into her music. That said I’ve seen her in concert many times in my live and have never left disappointed.
Sounds as good as when it released 30 years ago. This was the soundtrack to my trip to Ecuador back in 94. I'd travel on the buses, sit by the side of the streams, lay on my bed late at night high in the Andes mountains listening to this song and the others from the album. It surprises me that even after all these years the lyrics pour out of me spontaneously, such was the impact of this music on my life.
Wow. Her voice sounds as good as it did 30 years ago. I saw her in concert about 10 years ago, but this performance blew me away. What a voice. She had an amazing stretch of great music. Transcended me right back to a great period.
The voice of an angel. Got to see her live on this most recent tour for Fumbling 39tb anniversary. It felt like such a spiritual moment to relive that album live. Still gorgeous as ever. Her voice is absolute perfection at this stage of her life. How does she get more gorgeous over time too?! ❤
I listened to her album 'Fumbling Towards Ecstacy' quite a lot some thirty years ago. Glad that she returned to the stage and next generations can still enjoy her music.
