Wow. How anyone can give this room a thumbs down is totally beyond me. So beautiful. Your family are super lucky to have a wife/mother who creates visually beautiful spaces in which to live. Yes, kudos to you too Alex as the hammer and nails man. You and your team have done a fabulous job. Lovely to see Tommy again thank you !! Cheers, DEB (NZ)
My fave is the re-done version. The old one was cute and very much what you would call "new country", but the new one is calm and serene and sophisticated yet still connected to Nature.
Oh, to be in that room while watching the power of Mother Nature! To see, hear and feel the elements surround you is great. Your sense of light, colors and textures is amazing. As we say here in Texas, “Dang it woman, but you’re good at what you do.”
Super excited - I bought the watery pillow fabric for our little lake house. It was exactly what was needed to pull the whole room together. Thanks for the inspiration!
Love it all. Another room where you are surrounded by the majestic outdoors yet enclosed in comfort. The rattan swivel chairs were meant to be. Perfect in that spot. Love the fabric on the poufs, too.
Sarah, oh this room!!!! The rattan swivel chairs! The chaises! The view! I've been watching old episodes of Design Inc on DABL cable network. I found your RU-vid channel during the 2020 pandemic and have been catching up on all things SRD. So fun to see your evolution. This room is my favorite. I want to be there! Since that's not possible I've downloaded a picture of the room that I'm now using as my virtual background for work conference calls. Everyone is envious. They think that's where I'm calling from! I wish!!!! Thanks for sharing your family, colleagues, and the beautiful spaces you've created with all of us.
Sarah, you are the best designer out there today!!! I love love your relaxed yet very functional spaces. And the fabric's are soo beautiful and fresh!!!! The old room looked just as amazing!!! That chaise is so inviting and welcoming!!!
Hi, just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed your videos, love ❤️ the choices you made especially the new windows and of course your colours choices. 😊😍
The tree-scapes are an unexpected bonus, with the new windows and rattan chairs framing them. It’s amazing when design serves nature, not the other way around.
Love, love, love the windows!!!! That was an awesome move, along with the swivel chairs! You made great choices, based on great wisdom. I can clearly see that beauty and function rule here and I always love that.
I loved the before the most but I haven't been living with it for ten years. The before has been my dream room since the original video. I have a photo of it on my fridge.
Sarah I was absolutely meant to see this episode! I was just about to purchase some colonial bifold doors which look out to a beautiful garden view - and after hearing you talk about how much more light and scenery you get in by changing your windows to full pane - well, it just all made sense to me. Colonial shmalonial. Thanks chick x
This is the one I have been waiting for...I modeled my previous living room after yours...I can not say how much I love this layout and the color story. I then dreamed of a sunroom like this...I chose my new home based on the sunroom and making the feeling of this room come true🥰...with your tips over the years, I did it!!!My colors are cream, gray, and taupe but it has the same feel♥️♥️♥️ THANK YOU!!!
Those swivel chairs we had growing up!! All the windows is so beautiful! Love all the cream and white! Timeless and perfect for the beach! Light warm and cozy
OMGoodness Sarah!! That is such a GORGEOUS space!! Brava!! Your experience and exquisite taste is impeccable!! I can watch this episode over and over again. Wow!! Great job!!
What a beautiful room! But then all of them are, so there’s that. I think another thing that makes the windows stand out is the millwork around them. It adds to the height and strength if you will, further encasing you in the coziness that is your new living room. ( I hope this makes sense🤪)
Sara you are the best the way you explain the way you talkedis so understandingkeep up w the beautifulworkyou and you team do also your husband is a sweetheartand he put alot of fun in every show can waith to se the ranch proyect finished
Sarah: let’s just say half of us wanted a rug and half didn’t. Minister of exteriors: I was dead set against the rug.... Another breathtaking room! I love that you guys play board games in the morning. Such an easy way to share family time!
The view looks simply amazing!! Looks very welcoming and cozy without being over stuffed. I'm curious why you went with single pane windows? I can only imagine sitting there during a storm and watching it all happen from the coziness of that cabin.
Really irritates me when every designer on Earth feels they need to slap a dip in the top of every pillow! No one is fooled that the pillow is more "lived in" when you do that. STOP!!
