I was " Drafted" in JNA that become VRS ( Army of Serbian Republic) 1992 as 19 years kid. Viktor Bubanj military barracks. I'm 49 years old now 30 years later i can't get that city out of my mind. This video ...........
I on će biti u pravu.
Why does it seem so peaceful, with people roaming around, no shooting being heard? We can even see people waiting for the tram and taxis waiting for passengers. Was there any temporary truce at that time?
Certain area where safe from sniper fire, but nowhere was safe from artillery.. People just took their chances and decided to try and live as normal a life as possible..
It's the "calm before the storm" I landed in Sarajevo 17 of January , this is before the first of march . You old enough to remember the sommer of 95 ? Maybe you were one of them who i whiteness attacking up hill in July ? That was brutal , but absolutely a heroic attack by the BIH ! I will never forget what i whiteness that that day .❤ Sarajevo ❤
@@Svip_dk No, i was not there in 1995. I was born later. The neighborhood you enterd at 13:50 is called the "Alipasino polje" where me and my family is living. The Alipasino Polje was seen as one off most dangerous parts of Sarajevo because it was Close to the frontline and the hills seen upper. It was a Mayor damage done to the Buildings. I was surprised to se so many people Walking around normal. Also the part were you drove at 15:50 througt Olimpijsko naselje to Dobrinja was seen as very dangerous at that open field because there were many snipers and grenades focusing on that part. I was also suprised to see that it was so Clean at that moment. Watch this clip ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hkvejpwSFDw.html witch was filmed by the french journalist Philippe Buffon at the same Place in 1992 where it looked much worse.
@@Svip_dk Sarajevo was saved by NATO,BIH didn't save Sarajevo and National committee didn't let Serbs advance in Sarajevo so of there wasn't national committee to make economical sanctions on Serbs then Sarajevo would have been Serbian in 24h!
15 june BIH attacked Trebević , it's was brutal to witness but when it was BIH has for the first time since 92 a use full strategic high ground and a clear line of sight to Pale . But they paid and very high price especially the first day . I was at the gate in the UN HQ (Old Tito residence now US ambassy) with a clear view to Trebević . It started with a heavy artillery barrage from HVO positions in Kiseljak and then the attack up hill began... I my head it's still like it was yesterday , we got a lot of shells back from the mountains in those days, a lot i tell you , non stop ......
Yeah so many wrongs was made that summer , only all the broken promises eased them in numbers .. And they still are digging in Serbernica , I left Bosnia in August 1995 , but Bosnia has not for a single day lift me , and never will . Brutal to remember it like it was yesterday in a world who has long forgotten all about it . ✌🖖
Kristian Rasmussen, this is great footage. Could I please contact you concerning a documentary project I am currently working on for belgian television? Thank you! Kind regards, Justina Matov
I lived threw hell watching the attack on the muslims in bosnia and i was not even there. Can you imagine what they lived threw while the world watched and made excuses
Everything looks too peaceful for the summer of 1995. There are too many people in the streets. The summer of 1995 was a real hell. Maybe this is 1994. Or maybe March or April 1995.
In any case, it must be before May 24 1995, when one of two pylons seen at 10:58 was knocked down by explosion of modified air-bomb launched by Serbs that landed at its foot and killed two civilians.
@@skijeveli7205 And holy shit it was laud , i was in UNHQ (now US ambassade) and it was brutal . Only the Frenchmen detonating themselves ad the airport was lauder . But it was also A LOT of AT mines , a lot a lot i tell you ....
