We are going on a trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina by car. We pack what we need for a mobile lifestyle and after about 12 hours we are in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We enter the country uncertainly, but after a while, when we sit down in a roadside pub, we are greeted with the kindness of people, common knowledge of English and attractive prices of local delicacies. We are positively surprised by the condition of the roads and the police warning system practiced by the locals.
In this episode we will visit the capital of BiH - Sarajevo. The city has something that makes you feel good in it and the possibilities of exploration are not limited to 2 days of the weekend. The mountain location means that there are plenty of viewpoints in the area, and trekking routes, canyons, mountain villages and smaller towns are close enough to allow you to easily set up a base here and explore the area during one-day excursions. The atmospheric old town makes it nice to sit in one of the pubs in the evening, fire up a water pipe and, surrounded by oriental scents, bustle of people and tempting aromatic food, soak into the city and plan the next day.
The expedition took place at the turn of July and June 2022. In the next episodes we will visit, among others: the mountain village of Lukomir, rafting on pontoons in the vicinity of Konjice, Mostar, Kravica waterfalls and the village of Jajce. Our report will tell about our adventures in this country, and we will also try to provide a handful of practical information in terms of planning a similar trip by you.
