Sarangi 

Meerut in Uttar Pradesh is known for its musical instruments. But few are aware that once a man known as Yaseen Behra used to make sarangi which are often compared to Stradivarius in the Indian context. Behra died in the 60s but his sarangis are still a prized possession and played by the maestros.
Special thanks to Narendra Pratap and Shanu Bharti for providing me with the Khairnagar video and also to Ustad Farooque Latif Khan, the renowned Sarangi player, for soulful background music. My heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Rajesh Dhawan who allowed me to make a small documentary on his passion for Sarangis. It is because of Mr Dhawan, Meerut is again gaining popularity for producing the quality instrument.
