Moral of the story is India can never walk parallel to the requirements. First need to skill the politicians & policy makers then think of skilling the country.

Why Norway has $50+ haircut? The answer is labour productivity. India has huge population. Cheap labour is its expertise. The problem with that is exploitation by select few in India itself and other countries. India should develop skills to dismantle *CONCENTRATED WEALTH* in India. The distributed wealth will create more innovation and entrepreneurs. That will create more economic growth. Who knows, with better labour productivity India will have $50 haircut charges than putting humans as NAUKAR (domestic labour) in Indian homes. India has schools with more teacher absenteeism. Indian teachers are bigger problem who prefer to live in urban India and don't go/teach in rural India to develop skills. For last 30+ years, investment per worker in agriculture is declined in India. I was asking local politicians how will you develop skills of these workers who cut sugarcane crop in distrtict. No answer yet. That job can be automated overnight in India. Brazil cuts sugarcane crop using machines. Don't praise China without really knowing its market. China has official and unofficial job markets. Chinese rural migrant workers are in streets waiting to get picked up for odd jobs in big cities like Beijing. Read 'Factory Girls' book. Indians should learn to understand their history/generations first. Indian education per capita expenditure was 1/100 of British pound in 1860-1912 period. Before 1947, it was less than 1% GDP, among the lowest in the world. After 1947, it didn't improve much. *Indian women were completely ignored for education in this period. India not educating these past generations of women is a major reason of huge population in India.* India never developed primary education and spent education money on other educational institutes for select few. Now, India brought RTE and Indians are stilll idiots to develop poor Indians. Most of these Indians are still living rural/agrarian life of past generations. India didn't invest in agriculture for centuries. Read economic/tax history of agriculture and its labour in India. Rural China was converted in semi-skilled jobs like infrastructure, automotive, manufacturing, railways etc. that created new businesses in China right from scratch - real estate, roads, bridges, cars, bullet trains etc.

First we have to change the education system.People must know their area of interest.

We certainly lake Vision for the country. We only talk when any crisis comes and try to cure it. Most of the policies are backward looking like trying to bring out people from agriculture without securing minimum wages in the cities and without bring technologies to the agriculture. Its more of a social issue then policy issue. Most of the people are interested in government jobs and the only reason is security, social respect and lesser amount of work related stress and that's understood. Even if we open good vocational training institutes, still people will go to fucking dumb low life engineering colleges than joining a good institute to become a highly skilled carpenter. There is absolutely no social respect to a carpenter, lathe machine worker or a skilled plumber, no girl would prefer to marry those kind people but a clerk with desk job gets much more social respect. No one wants to be treated with lesser respect in the society. Currently only those with no other options are going for skilled labour jobs. Only solution I see is by somehow bringing respect to these jobs and make them part of mainstream learning just like engineering, MBA or medical we must have high quality institutes for carpentry, weaving, plumbing etc.Most of the government jobs are to be gained by reading books and clearing exams, no hands on skills are required in most of the cases. I used to teach in a rural institution and many of my students were very good in skills like machining of metal parts, carpentry, automobile etc. as these were the skills passed onto them by their parents and so on, but when I used to talk to their parents they told me that they are sending their kids to college so that they can get a white collar regular paying secure job. They were just not interested in their kids taking their ancestral skills to next level. Only reason is social respect, and it is not related to amount of money earned, many of those people were making good money, even if you earn well as a carpenter still you will treated as a failure when compared with a government clerk or police hawaldar.

Hamari country Ka ek aspect ye bhi Hai Ki Jo student higher education le lete Hai unko badi mnc main he job chahiye..... Har time hum government ko he blame nahi Ker sakte Ki ye nai ho raha vo nai ho raha..... Jobs Ke liye hame khud bhi apne level pe kuchh na kuchh kerna padega opportunities grab kerni padegi...... Apna aware ness level increase kerna padega.......

Strict population control measures need to be taken. Half the problems will get sorted on its own. Make Primary education mandatory, uniform from south to east, north to west, keeping value education, environment and equality( on all parameters) in focus. Do not hesitate to bring expats in primary education system.

Govt talks about doubling the income of the farmers but no solid fact that what is the income of the farmer right now.

Population is the biggest culprit. How do we expect the government to provide job opportunities to each and every youth out there. The population burst during 1980's and 1990's is quite interesting. The babies produced during that period has now become young and now they want jobs. But the problem is does those youth have the necessary skills to meet the requirements?

It can not be accepted that no Govt ever realized the importance of skills and entrepreneurship , there has to be some root cause of shamelessly ignoring the most basic requirements of youths of India , particularly when policy makers knew that India is youngest nation . The root cause is caste biasness . Since policy makers never cared about the majority of youths or their requirement . Else how else could they explain the complete lack of vision of national needs .

However excellent schemes you make but if it's not implemented in a right way, it's not going to give expected result. Most important factor in implementation of scheme is Teacher- -trainer. First we have to discuss about the quality of teacher -- trainer, which people think is very simple and easy, infact which is not. My observation is that authorities are not at all interested in that.

Why not Govt is taking help of educational institutions and corporations for skill training? There must a law for large industries to provide a minimum skilled youth, if not then there must be cuts in Govt help, skilled youth can be utilized by small industries.

Truth is that almost half the population is behind the ghoonghat feeding laddoo and gujiya to her prediebetic husband and in laws. Unemployed are producing 3 to 4 kids sometimes more than that. BPL are competing tightly. Politicians are highly qualified to understand almost every thing (sarcasm) Beurocracy has a huge disconnect. They enjoy rheir secure jobs. They face politics too.
