Stefan Rasmussen nødlandede et fly på den mest spektakulære måde. Kun gode piloter kunne have gjort det han gjorde. Synd at rygtet om at han selv delvis var skyld i det forfulgte ham i så lang tid.

I don't think any dane (who know about SK751) doesn't recognise that there were three people in that cockpit who saved the day.... -But like Yourself, a lot of swedes got an impression of the opposite, and I really wonder why....? The crash report states that all three pilots, alone and together, worked the aircraft and contributed in terms of saving the day. The Captain may very well have had all the glory at first, but captains tend to do, and certainly, he later on had to hear a lot of BS from all sorts of sides, incl the swedish media and the two swedish co-pilots.... And considering thát, would You reach out to such a critical co-pilot, or would you think "well, all thát was wild and crazy, and my life is in ruins, I can't fly anymore because I have no trust in the aircraft's systems, so I'm out of job, and the compagny (SAS) and the media and the copilot(s) are nagging me, no, I got to move on....?". -I certainly would, really, these three pilots ought to have been best friends through life, but that thát didn't happen, has a lot more to do with swedish zealous pride, than what it had to do with a danish captain who wanted all the glory for himself.... I have met Stefan Rasmussen at an event where he spoke, and trust me, he is as nice a guy as a guy can be....
@@easer777 Thanks for your answer. Yes it was a sad ending. Two good pilot never flying again. And as you say, it is sad they didnt got bounded together for life after being trough all this togehter.
It was the Pilot Per Holmberg, passenger of this flight, who saved the whole situation when the PIC Rasmussen was paralyzed and passive in the situation.
Rasmussen was pilot flying. He was in charge of controlling the aircraft. If he wasn't skilled enough they'd have crashed and died. But Holmberg no doubt played a major part as well. No need to downplay one to give credit to the other
