@@queerios1077 Which is one of the reasons why I am excited for Season three so we can finally get to know what Sasha’s parents and home life is like back on Earth, so we can FINALLY get full context on what made her into the person she is. Just like Season one for Anne and Marcy’s homelife by the Season two finale. So this last season obviously has to be the season we see Sasha finally begins to truly grow and develop into a better person, leader, hero we and the fandom can all be happy to witness.
My boyfriend had a theory that Sasha had a bad home life and that’s why she was so keen on controlling everything and didn’t really care about going back home. If that’s the case, that Grimes may be the first “good” adult in her life. He’s supportive, honest, protective but trusting, and they actually get along. I wouldn’t be surprised if she stayed permanently in Amphibia if this theory is true
Interesting theory, maybe that's why he hated that Grime insulted the soldiers, maybe it reminded him of his parents (it's just a theory), and well, your boyfriend's theory also makes sense because Sasha in True Colors was willing to stay in Amphibia (strange thing, since it means that it does not have something that emotionally unites it with the Earth).
Home life isn't always responsible for this kind of behavior. For example, I had a very loving home life, but I started acting like Sasha as a result of being bullied as a kid.
Mine too. Their episodes are my favorite. Hopefully we’ll get more Sasha and Grime episodes in Season three. But good news is that Marcy Wu Theme song takeover is ACTUALLY HAPPENING In Season three.
I thought he was gonna be a stereotypical mindless and and annoying villain at first but when he saw Sasha's potential, I already knew I was gonna like their dynamic. And I did immediately when Sasha told him to be nice to his team
Anne and the planters are a lovely bunch but I would genuinely kill to have a whole show about these two (Same applies to Marcy actually but more so these 2)
It speaks volumes when Grime is the closest thing Sasha has to a genuinely healthy relationship. I think it's because unlike Anne and Marcy, Sasha doesn't feel like she needs to protect Grime. He's her equal and because of that her dynamic with him feels much less one-sided.
I think season 3 will give them more screen time since Matt Braly said season 1 was anne focused and season 2 was marcy focused, so presumably season 3 will be Sasha focused
He's learning to give gifts and be loved, that's why he gives so many stuff to Sash 🥺 (the swords, armor and the guitar thing she says he gave her in battle of the bands)
3:38 How many freaking shows have had the arc villains randomly end up becoming the ones desperately trying to stop the Big Bad? My head is STILL spinning from True Colors!
The entire time throughout the series I was dreading them falling into the overdone trope of Grime just using Sasha with an eventual backstab but their friendship being genuine ended up being one of my favorite parts of the show.
Looking at how Sasha moves and fights, I still can't get how she loses to Anne... Besides the Calamity Powers and stuff, but I don't think Anne used that in her fights with Sasha.
their first fight she lost cause anne had also trained, the second fight she let anne win. pretty sure the creator even said in that part where she grabbed both of anne’s arm she couldve won. it was just the fact she wasn’t actually trying to hurt anne the second time!
My mom: You just gonna sit here and do nothing? Me: Do nothing? *Hellooooooo* I've been watching a video about Sasha and Grime being the best duo for over 7 minutes
@@shellyvision9693 well I came from the future to say that sadly didn’t happen but seeing her in her New outfit in Season 3B and having much more screentime sorta makes up for that.
It’s like a father who can’t use computer vs the daughter who is on track with current trends and adapt easily to her surroundings. She also can turn stranger into friends and surroundings into her weapon. Very dangerous duo indeed
Sasha has managed to drive everyone she cares about away except Grime, he's with her unconditionally at this point and I hope in S3 they get to have a good talk
I will admit that I enjoy Sasha's relationship with Grime throughout Amphibia. They started as acquaintances, but grew closer after Sasha's relationship with Anne started to fall apart and Grime saved her life at toad tower. After that and the whole situation with Yunan, Sasha and Grime really started to become friends. Their bond arguably rivals Anne's relationship with the Plantar family. In fact, Grime remains the only character who Sasha never pushed away and who didn't turn his back on Sasha. In many ways, Sasha and Grime brought out the worst and best in each other.
Sasha and Grime are literally two of my most favourite characters of the whole show. If not even *the* most favourite ones. That also includes Marcy with her geeky attitude and Anne with her funny personality and occasional comments. So, basically, the three main girls plus Grimesy, a warrior sweetie.
Quite an interesting thought. Imagine that you act like an asshole/villain and are fully aware of how bad you are, and then you get uncomfortable with the fact that there is someone even worse than you. Pretty interesting character development in my opinion. I saw something similar in Wander Over Yonder.
Sasha is best(: #TeamSash I really find it sweet how they both start their relation using each other, and ended up being really nice friends with a funny dynamic. ♥️ I just hope next season brings more episodes about Sash, the resistance she leads, and her parents.
