I couldn't agree less with the silly and presumptuous comment about 4 vs 2 mallets. Your 4 mallet work is rich with chord melody and comping harmonies that are beautiful. When you switch to 2, you really showcase the focused melodic potential of the vibes. Great tone. Great melodic content. I wouldn't presume to offer you advice as you're clearly a genius. I will say, after discovering you through Small's live feed, my searches were along the lines of "sasha berliner standards." I think it's very hard to generate originals that elicit the level of improv interest of establshed standards. When that's achieved, almost by definition, you've written a new standard. Love your work. Congrats on what you're achieving. It' particularly fun to see how much you're enjoying it. Players at your level share a very personal gift with your audience. It's so appreciated.
