A good drag name is important. As a hyper/bio queen with a disability who uses a crutch/cane/wheelchair, I LOVE my drag name! I am Kenya Walker-Dance bwah hah ha! Sasha is one of the most amazing people. She makes me so happy, it's nice to see her and her story so appreciated and adored.
I don't understand why people are still butt hurt Sasha won ru made the rules and is was set in stone. And Shea will be one all stars 3/4 for sure so stop complaining...side note Sasha has a great voice😂
She blew me a kiss....the sweetest ever and such a good big heart. I'm obsessed. She was so humble throughout RPDR SEASON9 but boy when it got down to the wire she let us all know in that finale who our season 9 queen was. Her performances were epic and not your basic drag lip sync battle. Classy.
Right off the bat, I'm sorry if I'm using the wrong pronoun at the wrong time. Not sure if it's "he" when out of drag or still "she" or if it varies by queen. In all cases, I do not mean to insult anyone - I just don't know these things yet. Anyway, Sasha is his birth name, but I thought it was Alexander. Isn't that the name Ru used when he asked Sasha Velour about what she'd say to a young Alexander (meaning younger self) if she could? Or is Alexander a middle name or something? Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly. Anyone know?
I came up with my Drag name Aja Jem Pizzazz after three of the main characters from the classic 80s cartoon Jem and the Holograms. I thought the combination had a nice ring to it and suited my Drag style which is 80s themed. I also chose the names as follows: Aja because she was Asian and I'm Asian, Jem because she was the star and is the ideal female role model where you can be both smart and pretty and run your own company, and Pizzazz because she was tough and has a wild side and the name is perfect for a last name.
