Okayyy so does anyone else feel like, "TES IS MY GRANDFOTHER HE DEID IN THE HSPTL" could be displayed in a modern art museum right now?? Like it's hilarious but I'm also low key shook that a 5 year old created something that so poignantly shows the childlike confusion, sadness, fear, and grief we experience when we have to confront death. Like damn girl, I was not expecting to be contemplating this much when watching a video about the art you made as a child.
The fact that Sasha's art has been kept so lovingly, and that they were encouraged to keep a visual journal as a 5 year old tells me so much about the kind of parents Sasha's mom and dad were. It seems like even as a small child Sasha was already very in tune with themself and their feelings. I know this video is largely funny and lighthearted but goodness it's so poignant and such a special glimpse into the mind of a very special person
When my Grampa died, I was nine or ten. Not only did I make a dedication to him in a book I made for Young Authors (complete with a picture I drew of him in his coffin...), but I also made a tiny little book that we put in the pocket of his suit at the viewing. Kids are complex and weird little creatures.
“Remember when someone accused me of ripping off them off…over this dress? I was like ‘but this has no design involved in it’….This is not a design. This is like the bare minimum of dress” is how you read yourself but read another person tenfold. Brava.
The Dracula play fucking killed me. Reminded me of the time my librarian in grade school introduced me to classic literature section not really utilized anymore. I was obsessed and fully would take plot devices of Le Fantôme de l'Opéra and others for writing assignments because I hated writing but I remember specifically getting an award or something for that one and they even put the little cover I illustrated next to the display. Then the movie came out later that year lol.
Mesmerized the whole video by your tattoos. They are so…you. Like if someone showed me them on a piece of paper I feel like I would guess that those were yours, they fit you beautifully 🥰

From a recently graduated MA of early childhood Ed, your spelling for kindergarten is great. You clearly heard beginning and ending consonants and we're taking risks with newer sounds you were learning, like "ge" for journal I wonder if you learned the word "gender" or "general" recently! And using "ow" in "out" is very clever!
First of all,I want to commend you for actually saving these tidbits of childhood memories! What an imagination! Second, I didn't find my country on the international sellers' lists ( Norway). I see that the book is coming out in early April and we will visiting the Netherlands for Easter. So I can check then. If not, we have a chain called 'Outland' here in Norway. They have been able to order many LGBTQ+ books and other merch ( Like Trixie and Katya's book and Bianca del Rio's book), so I can ask! Thanks again for coming to Stavanger!!

I really like your art and drag choices. A cosplay that you are perfect for, that I really hope you show on a stage, is the possessed spell book in the first Care Bears movie.
Honestly, I’d love to see Sasha make a video, where she recreates some of her artwork from this video, because I think that’d be intriguing to see how, she’d be able to interpret her old art, into her new art style.
