My take on the lyrics for Seasource.
God, I LOVE THIS SONG SO MUCH. Something about the chopped up guitar, the vocals, and that amazing chorus just tickles the part of my brain that says, "Damn, that's a good song." Honestly, it might even be in my top 3 songs in all of Splatoon, (currently Rockagilly Blues, Ska-BLAM, and No Quarters) though that might just be recency bias.
Anyways, LYRICS! These are also, genuinely, my absolute favorite lyrics that I've ever written for ANY Splatoon song! It was a ton of fun to work with the choppy vocals, and I just really like how the lyrics sort of tell a story here.
It also works really well in tandem with the lyrics I wrote for Amalgamania, with Amalgamania focusing more on the wider, societal scope of all of Alterna, while this one focuses on a more, individual, personal scope of one of the rocket scientists, which was overall just fun to try and piece together.
