Next time you do a tier list like this, you should do categories instead of letter grades. You flipped back and forth on what 'S' or 'C' meant, which led to Thanos getting S for being archetype defining, but High Evo getting C for being trash right now, while both of those cards should fall in the same category: Archetype Defining (regardless of current meta). Each of them has had their time in the sun and will probably shoot back up again at some point in the future.

Agreed, they did the same thing for x-23 and proxima midnight saying that x-23 is A tier for sure but proxima midnight is only good in discard so shes somehow a B card when in reality nobody plays x-23 outside of destroy

they put high evo in B tier not C. Anyway, Its not exactly about the meta in general for high evo and more about it having a huge natural predator in red hulk. Res hulk is new, already nerfed once, and still the best 6 drop in the game. Even if in the coming months he were to drop to the 3rd or 4th best 6 drop on the game, high evo would still be pretty doomed. And thats just that. Thanos has no natural predators and is instead just nerfed into a B tier deck in the current meta. It has no specific cards looming over its return or current existence.

Disagree. Thanos is more than archetype defining, it's Marvel defining and a card you should own because Second Dinner will always find a way to push it to be competitive. High Evolutionary serves solely to make the powerless beginner cards payable.

I am especially going to agree with this, as I have nearly climbed to I finite with High Evo this season. I think it's a card that can throw people, cause they get focussed on it's core package - and forget about what can combo well with it. Energy manipulation's definitely potent, with it - meaning the sunspot/armor combo's powerful, but using hope summers or psylocke to play she-hulk & hulk on turn 6 surprises loads of people. Same thing with knocking people's down with your passive Cyclops, or getting your free abomination down. Like if you get hulk powered, as well as getting she-hulk & abomination down on turn 6 - the cube stealing potential is *potent*

It used to be Scott Pilgrim vs The World, as that was the closest I'd seen a movie do a live action video game world that didn't immediately look aged because of bad cgi at the time and it was a fun watch every time with the comedy, action, and emotional moments between characters. Nowadays, I'd pick Mad Max Fury Road as my favorite movie.

I grew up in the town where Truman show was filmed. I went to middle school in Seaside Florida which is where the little town is where truman lives. My middle school was built from the proceeds from that movie.

Best variant hands down has to go to the Spotlight we just had for Legion. No art has better used the frame break and fully added to the piece. I used 4 keys just to get it, and I regret nothing. It's all the more beautiful inked.

I am a big Daken player, hitting infinite with him as the star card last few seasons. Two Daken lane (A.Zola) 3 or 4 shards and a final Modok turn is a thing of beauty. Easily higher than D tier guys!

Normally I agree with Alex but Thanos in S-tier? Nah he's middle of B. He clogs your deck with stones that aren't nearly as helpful as they used to be and on top of that he's pretty much a dead card himself. Middle of B is generous for Thanos imo

Thanos’ general application is S tier worthy. Right now he’s easily C but in general he’s S. If you really think they’re going to keep him like this you’re crazy. The current changes are their “answer” to their inability to stop adding ridiculous cards that benefit him in insane ways it doesn’t even do in the decks those cards are meant to go in. (Ex: mocking bird, red hulk, hope, etc.)

@@person2156 fair but those are his synergies. Not the card itself. The card itself is C worthy because it needs an insane amount support in order to become good. Taking the draw away from half of the stones killed the card but even still, all the options in the world won't matter if none of them get to make an impact

Without other cards annihilus goes down, without other cards Loki goes down, without other cards surfer is bad without other cards patriot is bad without other cards professor x is bad I can use this logic with any card series 1,2,3,4,5. Card games are meant to be synergistic, this argument is bad.

I still run Thanos to great success. The key is being able to clear the clutter and running Mind Stone twice. I run blink with my Thanos which is stupidly powerful. I use Grand Master to run mind stone twice. Besides the stones my only 1 cost is Sunspot. Trust me it is crazy strong and has a high win percentage even if you don't play Thanos.

Thanks for the video Cozy, as always it's great to see the work you do. I'd like to take this opportunity to say that I'm fed up with this spotlight system, at least for me. It's too easy to lose keys when you have 3 or 2 of the cards on offer. Having keys takes far too much time and it's too easy to lose them if you're unlucky with what you open... For example, I already own Ravona and Havok, which have been in the spotlight a lot recently. Will I take the risk? I don't think so...

Mailbag: What type of new or reworked cards do you think should be released to make Move more competitive? I.E. make Spiderman 2099 a multi move/destroy option (ie GRANDMASTER). A card rework for Kang "On reveal - 5 Cost, 2 Power When played, you can physically move an opponents card immediately" (basically like a Nightcrawler move on the opponents side). New card - Valeria Richards - 4 Cost, 5 Power - On reveal, you can tactically move 2 cards on your side of the board to other locations". What you think?

Mailbag question! For the past couple seasons, I've noticed most new cards are released with almost no shop variants, only the spotlight variants. Do you think this is because SD is spending more time on new cards instead of new variants, or because they just want to incentivize players to spend keys/tokens? And would you rather them release more cards with less variants on release, or less cards with more variants available?

Great comedy of the modern era has to be for me The Devil Wears Prada….I watch it over and over. The movies you mentioned. truman show, Ace Ventura epic epic epic!!!! Other classics Bring It On the first and only one that matters! Incpetion, The Matrix, Mrs Doubtfire, Zoolander and and and! I have a DVD collection of over 1000 DVDs. Real movie buff here! I would put Zabu at D, because of one deck, where you play wong, then mystique and Zabu, and with a bunch of 4 costs turning into zero costs, you can make a gorgeous sandcastle. Even if you don't have zabu pulled, you can add white tiger or doom

I'm taken aback by High Evolutionary landing in C without any real discussion. It's a lot like Thanos in that it unlocks entire archetypes and should be a must-have.

Well in terms of having the card its s tier and so is thanos cz they offer a lot despite not being the best but who knows if Angela and somewhat werewolf can go back to their glory you never know what OTA gonna swing the meta.

Jim Carrey is in my favorite movie of all-time, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. If you haven't seen ot, you should check it out. Jim Carrey, Kate Winslett, Kirsten Dunst, Elijah Wood, Tom Wilkinson, and Mark Ruffalo in a stunning movie that examines failed relationships and how they affect us. So good.

I remember when Jeff was first releasing, people were debating how good he even was (especially pre-spotlights when you had to drop 6k tokens). I was a day one believer trying to convince people - the funny thing is, he was much weaker at release. Tons of cards and locations have released since Jeff that just make him better. It's very affirming to see him at the top of S-tier still, and also one of the least hated-on cards (especially for how good he is). I can't believe there are people out there who still debate if he's worth the tokens/keys, just grab him already!

I played supergiant control for a couple of weeks this season. First 3-5 days I lost a lot. You really have to learn the interactions, but when you dial in on the meta and the wonky interactions in the deck, you start pulling wins out of the hat that your opponent would never expect. A lot like Phoenix force in terms of requiring that high skil, meta knowledge, and commitment to the archetype.

I love War Machine, Namora, Man-Thing, Jean, Selene, and Hercules. I don’t know why but I tend to gravitate towards cards that people think are bad. I mean, Jean is my favorite card with Man-Thing right behind her lmao, I just love Man-Thing as a character, he’s awesome!
