I didn't get a perfect 800 in Maths but I scored 790. Unexpected mistakes happen. But, maths is all about knowing the basic stuffs. Before starting to solve the problems, I suggest you to know all the theory, because if you know the base stuffs, it will be easier for you to do all the problems related to those chapters. When I started, I didn't pay a lot of attention to the basic stuff and just practiced the questions. In time, I found out that I was making mistakes in same type of problems. I was either unsure about the answer choice or I didn't know the answers at all. So, I started learning from the base and learned how those questions worked and how to find the right answers. Hope that helped!
be grateful that someone care enough to show tips and tricks for the math sat these trick can be helpful , plus there are many other people on the math sat section looking at them use your books , these videos are very helpful to me Hope it is for you as welll Thank you super tutor for your great videos on the sat
Thank you! I have been at my SAT prep since yesterday, for about 5 hours that day, and I was always stressed out to how to solve these kinds of problem, because when I take the practice mini sections for the math section, I'd get over half wrong. Now, thanks to you, I have a little knowledge on how to tackle the math section Just a little more practice.
I got a 460 math after studying all summer and felt good about it. But almost everybody in my class was better than me. I guess pride cometh before the fall. Now I smell something bad in the room. It’s my Sat score
I'm actually just taking the PSAT this Wednesday but the no calculator Math section is one of my main struggles. This video was very helpful and provided spectacular insight on how to solve certain math problems. Thank you, Brooke!
What do you do if you don't understand ANYTHING on the math section and are trying desperately to up your score but can't seem to make ANY (😭😭😭😭) progress? I'm seriously struggling. Any advice would be appreciated❤️
Josephine Rose check out khan academy -- tons of free math practice that adjusts to your level-- all have explanations. Go over as much as you can and work your way through the material.
Sophomore. I’ve been taking practice tests on Kahn Academy and I got 700 reading and writing but 550 on math. I was only able to complete like half of the questions in the no calculator section before running out of time and guessing for the remaining half. With the calculator-permitted section, I ran out of time for the remaining 10 questions. I just can’t seem to work efficiently.
On that first factoring question, what I do is; the answer that has the most in common, like the ending in 'C' was the same in some of the other answers but the beginning of it was the same with only one other answer...So I got C quickly...I'm glad it was actually correct
Math Hack for questions with variables as shown in the video: Always write down the units and try matching the units on the LHS and RHS. You don't even have to calculate the answer, arrange the units and the answer arrives itself.
Love how the second hack is to not use 1 but hack 3 is plug in 0 or 1... lol nah but yeah it’s hard to understand but remember she’s teaching hacks not actual math so don’t try to make too much sense out if it and it’ll make sense haha
On the one at 7:33, I would just eliminate the first two answer choices because the question does not show linear stuff and the answer choices do. And C is really really huge, so it wouldn't work. I really like how you talked about all of the questions. :D
I'm retaking it on Saturday and I took it for the first time in March. I made 1080, which isn't too bad, but I think I can do at least a 1100 and your tips have been super helpful!
Fun Fact, if the question gives you 3 pieces of information set it up as a Ratio. Let's use your car example. We are given 3 numbers out the back (use measurements always) 50MPH, 21 gallons a tank, and 17 gallons initially. so set it up as a ratio and you get 50x/21 you can then turn it into an equation by adding the third number, f(x)=50x/21-17 ... you don't even have to read the whole question and it took you less than a minute to do! steps are 1. determine terms 2. turn into a ratio 3. turn into an equation.
5 weeks until test day! My first practice score was 1120 Im gonna study everyday fir at least 30 mins and take a practice test every Saturday until June 5th.
@@sayebkhan8098 if your gonna take the SAT. DO NOT TAKE PRACTICE TESTS EVERY WEEK. its burns you out very fast. Id say take 2 or 3. One to gage where you are, one to see your progress and one to give you an idea of what you'll score on the actual test. I ended up take 7 tests and it was terrible. It got to me especially because it was over 3 hours long
I'll be taking the SAT for the first time later this year in NYC! I've already graduated HS (on a gap year rn), but our schooling system in Fiji is so different - I'm stressing lmaooo! Can anyone give me some tips on how to start studying for it from scratch? And if you have any book/website recs I'd really appreciate them too! x
I was looking at your review of the 2020. Is it worth getting the book for my 2 sons? They both struggled with the Algebra EOC one don is on his 3rd try the other passed by one point on his 2nd try.
Hey I took a diagnostic test and scored 680 on the math section without any preparation, so is it possible to score 800 on math section for me. I am using college Board blue book, Princeton review cracking the Sat and some real sat questions are these things enough to score 800 on math or should I practice from some where else with these Pls help me I am really confused
So on the 1st how do you deside to add only 2×5=10 like you could have done the other side for 7×1=7 and gotten the whole thing wrong! Could you explain?
