Satan have always been an exception to the rule: old bands get slower, less energetic and less passionate as the decades go on. This band never had that - the youthful spirit that all of the old bands had with their original records is still perfectly intact with Satan and it's amazing to hear. When Life Sentence came out, I was completely taken aback to hear them sounding so inspired, tight and strong. Here we are, nine years later, and they're still firing on all cylinders with Brian Ross sounding no different after almost 40 years since Court in the Act. Bravo.
Grim Reaper and Satan seem like very underrated bands to me, it's one of my favorite heavy metal bands of all time. Many will kill me for saying this, but... I like Grim Reaper and Satan more than Iron Maiden. It is equally less common to see a Grim Reaper fan than an Iron Maiden fan.
I saw Satan at the Keep it True Rising II incl. Meet & Greet at the autograph session. Just relaxed dudes remained.. an incredibly important event for me.. for all eternity.
@@thodoris3790 Satan has more high quality releases. Killers is great, but Court In Act and pretty much everything by Satan is better. Lightning To The Nations, Angel Witch, Rock Until You Drop and many others smoke it
TIMELESS; Exhausting but in a good ole beat yourself up way like being in a pit ..... forever guitars blasting drums and vocal range to kill for with some fun interludes always anticipating next song when one ends. NON STOP hard and heavy metal. lml

So many great things about this - riffs, vox, solos... but goddamnit the mix is not good. Drums are way too loud! Did Lars produce this? Turn up the bass, fatten the guitars, and lower the drums. Ugh.
