with a few years using it now I can say It actually does charge from empty to full while using the Mac with high processing programs running at the same time. Charge time is maybe 20% longer
@@physiotrader6604 Ah... I see. You have the Intel version that came with 4 Thunderbolt 4 ports. My M1 Max version only has 3. I have the Satechi Thunderbolt 4 dock as well. I got it last year around this time. It will handle the 2 4K monitors, but will only allow one to do 60hz refresh and the other will only do 30hz. After speaking to support they said there was an upgrade and it now supports 60hz on both monitors. They are kind enough to replace mine with the updated version under warranty. So, the support from them is pretty good if you or your viewers want to know. ;)
That’s a wonderful piece of information right there!! Thank you so much. I will have to call and find out if mine is new enough. I don’t think I have had any problems and it’s only a few months old so it may already be the update version
