As a Tamilian, I can't understand much about the lyrics of the song.. But Asha Tai's voice and this raag marwa is disturbing a lot in me and making me sleeplessness with teary eyes..One of the greatest songs of last 20th century..

Marwa is a unique raga. Typically sung during the evening, just during sunset, the rapidly fading sunlight and increasing darkness create this sombre mood.

Always feel speechless with the out of the world singing of one and only one Ashaji... Uffffffffffff her range... Her sureelapan... Her expressions.. She can just not go wrong anywhere... Hee voice and singing touch the soul.. And the class apart composition and music arrangement kyaaaa baat... Ravindra Jainjiz one of the masterpieces.. Brilliance all over..

One of the toughest songs that justified the selection of Ashaji's voice! There are abrupt changes of sur between antara and mukhda, which only Ashaji can handle beautifully without losing it! The song has a tinge of sadness! Kudos to Ravindra Jain!!!

The tune is so difficult, especially when antara meets mukhada and astaee. Asha has done done justice to this number. So much so that I cannot believe it was recorded in one single go with the music.

This is a very tough song as a majority of it is composed in Raag Marwa and continuously keeps changing the scales along with extremely precise and hard murkiyan! Brilliant composition along with asha ji ki gayaki! It is flawless❤

Same here. you think Arunita was shrill. She should have chosen a lower scale to sing. Because of her higher scale the lyrics were not clearly audible. Once, the legend, Ashaji had told the importance of clarity in the pronunciation of each word of the lyrics.
