this is on ziksua's congratulations animation. stolen. Sesei Lhungdim 1 year ago Satisfied=Toast to the groom. Congratulations=Roast to the groom. (inspired by someone else. I don't own this idea!) not only did the person say it wasnt their idea but it was a year ago.
Actually on the real life Alexander. And Angelica We're friends and then she started falling in love with him, but then her sister met. Alexander and then HE her sister got married.
Omg. I'm learning about this in language arts right now. There is always two sides to the story, the hero and the villin. But there is no villin in this. But there is two sides of this song
Angelica: trying to find a way to make her sister happy While I'm here *searching for ways to get back to my brother for eating the last chicken nugget*
angelica:"rewind" angelica:stares at wall for 5 minutes Hamilton:"is she okay Eliza:" i think shes having a panic attack " angelica:"TO THE GROOM" Eliza:"okay i think shes good"
Alexander was blackmailed almost like lettermen. Alexander was a young and still naive man. Thomas Jefferson cheated with his slaves yet he became president. Sometimes its all about who keeps the better secrets.
@@anthonygordon9483 Well they discovered that Jefferson had many affairs whit his slaves, but when they accused him he just ignored it and then everyone forgot about it, not like Alexander, that wrote a 69 pages essay about it
@@_itz._.milkyquartz._.7571 Yeah Alex represented america today. Even though his political career was over. His honesty today would probably save him its sad.
Jefferson wasn't the only one abusing slaves, since sadly it was a daily torture that a lot of slaves had to endure. Edit: So him not reacting much to it was because of that fact or because he was only dealing with those rumors and not much else, so he figured that ignoring them and not giving in would bring Callender nowhere. Hamilton was dealing with rumors involving him in tax fraud, which would have been a bigger scandal considering he built the financial system himself. His system and work would have been undone and all be for nothing, Hamilton would have been sent to jail and he and his family would live in shame and dishonor. It's even debated that the affair was used as a cover up for the rumors to seize, which did work. With an affair, Hamilton would be the only one ridiculed, leaving his family mostly out of it. Aside from that, many people were cheating on their spouse during those times. Hamilton was the only who was honest about (if the affair did took place and wasn't just a cover up story). It was said that he told Eliza before publishing the pamphlet while utterly broken. She forgave and understood him when he explained it, but still had the right to distance herself to compose herself and deal with it properly. And both got back together not long after, years before Philip's and Peggy's deaths. So yeah, cheating is horrible, but it's speculated that the affair didn't even exist or in most case, that he was an utterly broken man pressured into it by - a woman who played up a big drama story to gain wealth for her husband and herself - or a woman abused by her husband and threatened with her daughter's death. Either way, we don't fully know what happened or how those people were like back then, so I guess we can only speculate. Edit 2: I accidentally messed up while writing the first time and failed to notice, so I hope it didn't offend anyone
@@DanielLopez-jn9cf maria reynolds. When eliza was home with her parents and asked alex to join them he refused because of work. He soon needed a break and maria came to his house claiming her husband is beating her and she seduced him (listen to song how can i say no to know more details) sorry if i made any mistakes
@@luca-jg4wq That's why I be thinking to myself when I listen to this song. I believe before Alexander and Eliza got married him and Angelica had to have had sex somewhere down the line. Because she was to in love with him.
I literally just realized that the 3 fundamental truths are about each of the 3 people. First one was about Angelica, second was about Alexander, and the third was about Eliza.
So the truths are about funds? Eliza : 50 dollars : cause...married Alexander : AND PEGGY : Forgave Alex for having an affair Angelica: 55 dollars : cause...Let Eliza have Hamilton : is a good sister : AND PEGGY Alexander H. : cause... 100 dollars : part of the government : made the bank system we have today : Married a rich, and kind woman named Eliza : Very kind man : Staff for Washington / Washing machine : Had 8 children : had affair -5
For those who don’t understand why Angelica gave up Alexander for Eliza, it’s a older sibling type of thing. Most older siblings would do something similar to their younger sibling. Like, I would give up my life to keep my sister alive, and willingly give up something I love to make her happy. Yes, we’ve argued on countless occasions but at the end of the day she’s my sister and I love her, more than I do myself sometimes.
Yeah no. I love my little brother, but I wouldn’t give up my soulmate for him. Would I take a bullet for him? Yes. Would I give up the love of my life for him? Nah, he’ll get over it. (That girl is mine, that girl miiiiine...)
Yeah, I think I know what you are saying.l actually have a cool older brother who wants to an animator someday, We were really different but we like to watch some animated shows and some Movies. Plus, Our Favorite Holiday is Halloween🎃🎃😄😄👍👍Also that's a great Storyboard there!!!😄😄 And at 2:22- 2:23 Angelica show the drawing Me: He He 😄😄 and This Song is actually Really Great but Pretty Sad(And l know how she felt there 😓😞)
To be fair, it's not completely an older sibling thing. For me, it's definitely stronger with younger siblings, but I would give up everything for my older siblings, too.
Angelica: *Makes a big sacrifice for her sister* While here I am, always fighting with my sister and counting all the thing she had done to me so in can get *revenge.*
Did she??? Wasn't she marry when she met him? What was the sacrifice? she introduced him to her sister so she could see him behind her sister's back, the rumors exist of their affair. Not in the play of course, but in real life.
Yes you have to be patient and count all the things your sister does, and then when you need them, you do something for revenge. It's kinda rude, but it feels so good to get sweet revenge
This is one of the primary reasons why Angelica’s my favorite character. She literally gave up the one she declared the love of her life for her sister Eliza. I admire her character so much.
What if Hamilton only agreed to Angelica when she said she's about to change his life is because he thought they'd be together? I think he was startled because he was introduced to another woman and thought he had a chance with Angelica but then given to Eliza. just a theory. good animation btw
geekly bo they weren’t married yet obvs. she knew him first and was interested in him but then gave him up anyway because she loved her sister more and would rather for her to be happy.
geekly bo I just mean that Angelica tries to put the happiness of Eliza over her own, and I think that that is a really honorable and caring thing for her to do. Not trying to get hated on for sharing my opinion.
THE FACT THAT HAMILTON looks more cunning in Angelica's POV while he looks like a total "prince charming" in Eliza's POV had me standing. Eliza's the definition of love in first sight and childish love. Meanwhile Angelica totally accessed Hamilton but still continue to love him selflessly while watching him lay his pawns on her sister.
Well in actual history Angelica and Alexander actually saw each other as siblings and Eliza and Alexander (Yes he did cheat) were married. Angelica was in fact already married as she and Alexander spoke fir the first time soo...
I like how in Helpless you couldn't see Angelicas face because Eliza ignored Angelicas feelings, and in this you can see both their faces because Angelica didn't ignore her sisters feelings
@@clarasabino1019 imagine if she knew, like in Burn she revealed she knows that Hamilton has feelings for her sister. Thus 'I see how you look at my sister' what if she just didnt want to acknowledge Angelicas pain and sacrifice or just wanted to live her fantasy and forgot? Sorry I rambled
Angelica: So this is what it feels like to match wits with someone at your level, *what the hell is the catch?*- Alexander: *_Cheats on Eliza, literally writes the damn Reynolds pamphlet, cannot say a simple 2 letter word_* Angelica: .... ... _so that’s the catch_
At about 4:40 All of the statues begin to deteriorate, and this is where it gets me because all the beautiful memories that might have been are all disappearing as she comes to terms with the fact that Alexander isn't hers. It's such an amazing concept that made me feel something I've never felt listening to this song. Beautiful job!!!
It would be entertaining to find out if they sang these songs in real life: Angelica: “TO THE GROOM!” Angelica: *gets quieter* 🎶 “i’m in love with my sister’s husband”🎶 Eliza: “what?” Angelica: ... “TO THE BRIDE!”
@@averageperson4524 I had almost the same thing, but it was not my sister, not my best friend, who took him, but just a good acquainted whom I introduced him to. Compared to her, I had no chance, he liked her. I am an artist, so one day he came up to me and asked "can you draw me with her together, in honor of the fact that we started dating?)"............It was painful, I didn't fulfill his order, I couldn't.
cupcake chan it is but it’s so sad, Angelica will never be satisfied. Hamilton cheated and walked himself up in lies. He will never be satisfied. She will never be satisfied
Not to be THAT person, but in the actual events (so real life, reality) Angelica was already married when she met Alexander... Not to ruin anything, just the truth
TheNoneUploadGirl there many say that she never really loved Alex, just had a strong connection with him, I think they added this “love/broken heart” thing into the play for drama, but I’m not sure
The fact that she sacrificed her chance of love with Hamilton and gave him to Eliza shows that she truly did only care about her sisters and nothing more, but it was true that Alexander and Angelica still held a deep love for each other...and to see the pain in her eyes as she gave him to her sister but she smiled and made it out that she was satisfied was probably the most painful thing to see but the most powerful of all.
By the end verse i literally felt chills all over my body. This animatic is one of the most original, amazing Satisfied animatics I've ever seen. Your play on visuals iS BEAUTIFUL and I just love every part of it.
IN THE THUMBNAIL HAMILTON LOOKS LIKE GASTON AND I COULDN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT “NO ONE GETS MARRIED LIKE (HAMILTON) GASTON” “NO ONE CHEATS ON THEIR WIFE LIKE (HAMILTON) GASTON” “NO ONE DIES LIKE (HAMILTON) GASTON”
@@emmaeccleston2072 history would've been better. They would have made such a great power couple. She'd have helped him so much in his journey because everybody knows she was really witty and charming. Now, It wouldn't be nice of me to side with Alexander when we know he cheated on Eliza later and there's no excuse to compensate that. But DEEP DOWN, I feel if Alex and Angelica would've ended up together, they'd have satisfied ;) and completed :) each other in so many ways. They clearly yearned for each other. Their sacrifices only made Eliza happy, but at a cost which wasn't worth it.
Mr Schuyler: Are they done yet? A random worker: No Sir, not yet- Mr Schuyler: I want them all finished by tomorrow morning. My dear Angelica needs them. That worker: We can’t just finish and dry all sixty life-sized statues right now-
Wow this is a master piece!!! I love every scene! It was all so perfect, to the art to the camara you choose to express her emotions. The best animatic i have ever seen of "satisfied " thank you for sharing your work♡ its amazing!!!
Hello! Thank you very much! I also saw your works and everything were so amazing!! I subscribed your channel! :D I look forward to see your next video!!
Bro I literally got chills when Angelica looked over at Eliza and realized what was happening. This animatic perfectly captures each characters emotions. And the whole experience was magical. I love the creativity throughout the whole animatic. To name one, the statues of the characters were such a beautiful addition. I’m literally subscribing because of this.
You know this is the first Hamilton thing I’ve ever watched and I instantly fell in in love, I ended up crying for Angelica and rooting for her but after knowing the story I understood why she couldn’t be with Alexander. And I wanna thank you for amazing me with this masterpiece. I got more curious abt art after this and got into drawing so thanks!
Same! This was the first song I heard from Hamilton and I was so sad that all of that happened to her but then I found out that Alexander cheated so I kind of felt happy for her. Tho she still loved him which is really sad.
@@Karpahid00 Well in the musical its because she was the oldest and her family was rich so it was her duty to carry on the family name by marrying another rich man Now in real life its because Angelica already had a husband and 2 kids before seeing alexander, but they did share letters and were flirty towards each other. She couldve married him anyways because in real life they all had 3 brothers therefore she didnt need to marry a rich man to carry on the familys name since the boys were there to carry it on. soooo i hope i answered your question :)
Yes. The official play was released by Disney+, where it’s available for everyone. But as I watched it last night, I just couldn’t stop remembering this masterpiece right here.. It’s been here with us since the beginning.
I thank you so much, Jake Kim Story. One day just casually strolling through my recommended videos, saw an animatic called satisfied (I didn’t know anything about hamilton at that time, I almost thought it was a disney animatic), reading the title again, “Hamilton?” I said. Did my research and now.... I listen to the soundtrack 15000 times a day,I know every lyric from every song (yes, even guns and ships), begged my mom to buy the book, it changed my friggin life. I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH JAKE KIM😭😭 i hope you read this..
WOW! Thank you very much for your kind words! I too found out about Hamilton musical by watching other people’s animatic as well! I’m so grateful and happy that you guys liked this animatic! Thank you!
no one is talking about how her dress changes from a vibrant red to something more washed down... like bruh the meaning behind that is so heart breaking
The statues reminded me of the song from Hercules "I won't say I'm in love", where Meg was surrounded by statues (plus the Muses) essentially helping her accept that she does have feelings for the titular character. This, in a way, plays to the same idea, as the statues at first meet detail Angelica's POV on the situation and snapshots of her essentially falling for him. The crumbling of those statues at the end---and then falling into oblivion--depict the other end of that idea--that her feelings for him must be let go for the sake of her sister's happiness. It was incredibly poignant for me that the last statue was one of her, truly indicating that this was her own decision and a part of her that basically no one else knew about that she needs to accept can't exist--however, I noticed at the end that her statue crumbles, but her dress doesn't. I have two theories about that this intertwine with one another. 1.) It's an implication that while she has tried to toss her feelings aside, some still linger and she still thinks about that might (well, OBVIOUSLY, she just sang this entire a song about that), and 2.) a bit of foreshadowing for both the (still debated) emotional affair that she later has, as to me, it does represent her remaining lingering feelings for him, and to a certain extent, the red dress itself is an indication that because it still exists and doesn't crumble, is just a symbol in general that there are always lingering feelings for Alexander, and it may also just be the red dress aspect, but it makes me think of Maria? Idk, that points sketchy, but I really thought it was great that Angelica's dress was pretty much the only bit of color--it stands out and truly makes the viewer aware that this is HER story rn in this song. Also, the part with the spotlights???? Amazing, as it connects back the idea depicted in Take a Break and Burn and a few other songs that it was never truly just Alex and Eliza. ALSO ALSO, I love how all the statues don't have eyes--idk, it takes away the feeling of being alive, b/c, idk, "the eye is the window to the soul" or something. Idk, I just thought that was a nice detail that really helps illustrate that we are now alone with Angelica's thoughts--these are no longer people. Tbh, it may or may not have been simply to just get across that these are no longer people but statues, but idk. Ugh, I could analyze this so much further, but my phone is gonna die, and UGH, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH, even though you and no one else is probs gonna read all this, okay, I'll leave now, byeeee
*Yes Angelica we all think you've had a little too much to drink* Edit: And I know she will be happy as his bride... Me: *after watching burn* *ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?!*
Eliza deserves better.😧😧 Im sad for her😢😢... I wish she didnt forgive Hamilton that easily. She shoulve beaten him up and regret that he ever glanced at any woman( tho I think that Angelica would do that if she's the one who married Hamilton. Hamilton would even regret his own existence lol )
@@mikahmontilla9602 eliza is a really kind person that's why she can forgive him. And honestly i doubt it's "easy" for her to do. Honestly, which one will be easier to do if you got cheated by your loved one ? Forgive him/her or break your relationship with that person ? The former probably will be harder to do for most people.
I just loved how you portrayed Angelica. Practically every other animatic I’ve seen her crying buckets over *her* misfortunes, and they don’t really portray an actual Angelica. Someone who’d give up everyone just for another person has to be strong, and that’s exactly what Angelica is. Strong. You wouldn’t see her just cried f**cking rivers in front of people or even at all! Maybe she slip and have a tear or two come down, but only because she’s just happy, which you nailed!
Just cause someone is strong doesn't mean they don't cry. But you are right, strong people don't cry in front people, they only cry when they are alone.
I'm pretty sure this is one if not the best satisfied animation that I've seen. You are an animation is amazing. I normally am kinda a critic about animation but I love how you portrayed everything in this. I love how Angelica is looking over the ballroom and turns around and sees herself in the past on the balcony with Alexander. I also love how you had her red and pink dress representing that those where her past and present thoughts. My praise is hard to come by. This was outstanding. Please keep up the good work. BTW could you do the room where it happens please?
Ahhhh so by past and present thoughts you mean she felt lust and attraction to him at the ball since her dress was red and then her feelings wear off and she realizes that she's in love with him in her pink dress.... that makes sense
Angelica: Rewind.. *Mumbling* rewind...rewind... i remember that night *Incoherent mumbling for 4 minutes* Hamilton: Uhhh... is she okay? Eliza: I don't know.. *Crowd starts whispering to eachother* *Eliza is about to put her hand on Angelica's shoulder* Angelica: TO THE GROOM
Why is literally nobody talking about the animatic?! This is the most beautiful and artistic animation I've ever seen, I keep finding myself coming back to this every now and then. I could sit here for hours talking about it. It's so well planned and drawn that I still want to cry over it every time I watch it. The ending with the statues disippating and the two Angelicas - I can't put it into words. Thank you so much for making this.
Fell out of my bed when I saw the notification in the morning (expression) But yes thank god this came out I really wanted to see the full version in your (art) style, mostly when it when to the ending Bless your hand
Youre an example that with the proper fan support and plenty of patience, a wonderful work of art can be made. Well done. Tears, feels and smiles all around!
I couldn’t hold back the tears when her statues started to crumble away. This is my favorite song from Hamilton and it’s just done so much justice with your art and animations. 💕
I’m absolutely crying. The statues as the past? The colors? The facial expressions? I’ve never seen Hamilton but it’s exactly what I imagined when I listen to this song. It’s so amazing and you’re so incredibly talented!! Thank you for sharing this. I can finally die in peace.
Nerdyreader And musical lover I know!! It makes me so sad. It’s too expensive for me to actually see it, which is sad because it’s coming to cities all around me! UGH! The sadness of it all.
“Satisfied” has inspired so many awesome animatics, but this one is absolutely phenomenal! Definitely one of if not the best I’ve ever seen. The movement is so smooth and fluid! There’s so much detail and care! All of this also applies to your “Helpless” animatic. I love how much you leaned into that the two songs are two sides of the same narrative and emotional coin with all the parallels between them. Eliza saw herself and Hamilton, but not Angelica because she doesn’t see her as that really big a part of the story, represented as clouds and later we see them dancing through the sky. She feels like she’s ‘walking on air’, ‘looks up’ to Hamilton, idealizes him and their relationship on a pedestal almost like he and it are ‘heaven’-sent. She’s outside a lot, in the field, in the open sky, going out onto the balcony at the ball - in the process, throwing open the doors with their grid frames reminiscent of a cage. For her this is nothing but bliss and wonder and the spiritual liberation true love can provide. The idyllic nature imagery of flowers, meadows, clouds, etc. align with how naturally the romance seems to develop. The sky is blue, grass is green and Eliza and Hamilton are perfect for each other. Simple as that. Angelica sees herself, Hamilton and Eliza because she is painfully aware of her stake in the story represented as statues in a room. Artificial constructs, able to be shaped and moved and damaged and broken by people, just as she moves Hamilton and Eliza is broken at the end. She’s so intimately attuned to social norms, rules and deceptions, so she can see clearer and more realistically than her sister; stone is a lot more solid, reliable and precise a medium for an artistic depiction than fluid, fluffy cloud and the statues are life-sized at eye-level, not larger than life high above her. But she’s also constantly restricted by this understanding. She watches her memories while trapped inside behind those barred doors and from her current point of view, her past self is imprisoned too. At the beginning we see the married couple themselves confined in the lines of her raised glass, foreshadowing that they aren’t nearly as free or untouchably ‘floating above it all’ as Eliza thinks. The lighting is overall darker than in the “Helpless” animatic, matching not just the sad tone but a dimmer, more cynical view of reality. Well-done symbolism my beloved. Parallels and contrasts my beloved. These sister animatics my BELOVED.
Frankly no , its too sad to become a disney movie . Because there isn't a really happy ending for all the good people in this story . For me , I wish Angelica didn't overthink about loving Alexander , if she loved him , she would've gone for it. After all , her sister wouldn't actually be that sad .. there's plenty of men Huh ? Unlike Angelica , never will she be satisfied
This is so amazingly beautiful. The tension between Hamilton and Angelica is pure gold, and can't compare to Eliza's and Hamilton's. I have checked my channel for notifications for this for so damn long, and I rewatched the shorter version endlessly. And this? Was so worth it. So damn worth it. I just may be your biggest fan, honestly. AMAZING JOB! I hope you do more Hamilton animatics in the future, and I'd love to see more of your animations. Just a few questions: Do you have social media I could follow you on? Do you take requests or ponder them if brought forth? If so, would you do Congratulations, Burn, The Reynolds Pamphlet, or Wait For It? Thank you again. Really, you should be paid for the art you can do...
WOW! Thank you very much for all of your kind words! T.T I finished this animatic because of you guys! I do have social media but I actually don't use them often... You can check my tumblr, facebook, and instagram from my profile! For your second question, I did think about getting requests, but I'm not sure yet! There are songs that I can make into animatic, and some other songs are not... But I think it would be fun to try out for once :) Thank you very much for your support and I'm so glad you enjoyed this animatic!
