Deep #motivationalcleaning of my kids upstairs room. Its been avoided for far too long for a #homemaker. Clean with me while we address the worst of the house. #homemaking motivation #cleaning motivation #2024 reset
When the house is always a mess the children think that that is normal. They dont know that it could be some kind of condition.Your kids are big enough to help you clean and maintain the house.Hope nobody get upset by my comment.
Wow! Such a great job, fueled by love and grace. If I could time travel back to when my son was little I'd definitely have taught him how to pull trash out of the 'toy soup'. Makes cleaning so much easier.
I love “toy soup” such a good way to describe it! My next big goal is to make them wash the dishes they hide away in their rooms! Plus then maybe we would have silverware!!
@@feraltradwife I'm still working on all the skills I'd teach my 8 yr old self. I'm such a fan of Dana K White's 'My No Mess Decluttering Method'. Am still learning at 47!
I think this might be my favorite video so far! That was such a satisfying, real-life clean. Now I need you to come declutter my kids' toys. I'll wait 😂
I think that your “dump and sort” method was the perfect way to clean the various aspects of this room. It turned out great!🙌🏻 Maybe next time, off camera of course, sweep it all onto the rug with a trash bag in the center while the four of you sit on the floor and do the sorting. Use it as a home school lesson to learn how to tackle it step by step, while explaining “keep, toss, donate”.
A good resource for getting kids started on the right path to cleaning their space is the youtube channel “she’s in her apron” check her playlists for the zone cleaning videos. She has videos explaining how she does this for herself and her kids as well. I love it for my own family
The door to the room could be removed and curtains or beads hung in its place. Keeps it open while still allowing for privacy and would keep bookshelf at front of mind. But, great job! I can only imagine how exhausted you were when this was finally done! ❤❤ Your kids are watching you struggle and how, despite the struggles, you continue. And your kids will emulate that! ❤❤
Showing love and grace is just fine. But teaching them that they can leave a place like this is not fine. I realize you wouldn’t be able to make these videos otherwise, but to what end? I’m just saying, I would’ve gotten the ass whoopin of my life had I left a place in that condition
Also, I am messy. This is how I am. My kids learned it from me. Now I’m fixing myself and they are learning in the process. I hope you have a wonderful day!
@@feraltradwifeThere is a saying in business,”What management accepts, management condones.” So now that you’re on this journey, have them watch this video and talk about what they could do differently from this point on. I would especially emphasize the consequences as a life lesson, like food and crumbs lead to bugs, and kitty may start using the carpet if the box isn’t cleaned daily. Also, show them how to shake a paint brush off,(inside the sink and with your hand over it) but still have THEM wash it off of the walls to instill the consequence, otherwise, someday they will be someone’s clueless roommate or marriage mate.
I love you cleaning your house and motivates me, but it also breaking my heart seeing you. Your child is already grownups yet they're such a mess. What if let's say, your not feeling well? What will happen to the house? Just saying.
It gets bonkers messy. We are all working on it! My kids do help but not on camera usually. I’m trying to teach them as well as teach myself how to be better ❤️
